BTW...Aang and Katara are yin/yang. Aang is carefree/Katara is serious. Air and water are involved in a harmonious push/pull relationship. First, I obviously support this post. Second, Katara and Azula are also yin and yang (because you know the whole fire and water deal) And Azula and Yue, Sokka and Ozai, Suki and Gyatso, Aang and General Fong, etc. etc. Conclusion: Yin and Yang does not mean troolove4eva because almost any pairing can be applied to it. Exactly. How can you say Aang and Katara aren't yin/yang. Or any other pairing for that matter. I guess that it's a lot easier to see only the obvious so people only see Zutara.

Well, I will try to look at it from a non-biased point of view, but yes Aang and Katara are yin/yang. Each pairing, I believe, requires something from one partner the other doesn't possess or seems to lack in. However, when most people hear yin and yang, their automatic thoughts are fire and water, so on and so forth.

yeah cause everyone centers zutara around yin and yang cause katara is a good girl and zuko is a bad boy, ect. ect.

All or most couples would be yin and yang because they complete each other and without the other they are incomplete, since yin can't be without yang and stuff...

Which is pretty funny considering Zutara is the pairing that "breaks out of the obvious" and such. Also, when I think yin/yang I think of Tui and La or head desk (because the yin/yang stuff is just...so annoying now).

I myself had always found it so hilarious that they think they're so 'out-of-the-box' but they don't see that Yin-Yang applies to practically everyone... Besides, Yin-Yang was applied to Tui and La, who are ocean and moon instead of sun and moon. Tui and La turned out to be more complementary than opposites... And Yin-Yang pretty much annoys me too right now [hello, Azula/Yue, Aang/Haru, Mai/Hahn, Malu/Jet, etc-etc!!!], so I always restrict Yin-Yang to the context it was actually given--Tui and La. Period.

Heh... yeah about Yin and Yang being a very poor argument for a ship. I actually ranted about that over at fanficrants.
By the way, I am a little surprised that Feng Shui (Wind and Water) isn't used much as a theme by Kataangers. Then again, I am also glad that it isn't overused the way Yin and Yang has been over-promoted.
Then there's the trouble I have with 'Opposites Attract'. Everytime I see 'opposites attract' I automatically think 'dominant/submissive'.
