The Gonj Win Encampment. Normally nothing more remarkable than a huge field bordered by a forest along its northern edge, Gonj Win had taken on new luster as it was once again transformed into the host site of Music Night. Large, bright, cloth banners of every color in the rainbow dotted the surroundings, waving on a gentle twilight breeze. Beautiful paper lanterns, each one a glowing bulb the color of one of the four nations, were suspended between several tall, wooden posts lining the streets. Large, multi-purpose tents once again dotted the grassy landscape, waiting to be filled with guests and food and merriment. There were new additions to the site as well. Sturdy wooden stalls had been erected around the grounds, their owners busy preparing their various wares and services for the anticipated crowds. And, tall enough to be able to be seen from anywhere in the camp, stood the place that would house the main event; the great stone amphitheatre.
The amphitheatre was the only part of the camp that had not had to be reconstructed in preparation for Music Night II. It had taken the earthbender artisans so much effort last time to construct it, that it had seemed a waste to tear it down once the previous festivities had ended. So, it had stayed just as it was, with its perfect acoustics and cushion lined seating, waiting to be used again. It had become a symbol of hope. Hope that there once again would come a time when all people, no matter their differences in ideologies or shipping preferences, would be able to meet on equal ground and just have a good time. And now, finally, that time had come again.
General Alleluia of the Zutarian Army sat by a stone lined pond, another recent addition to the fair grounds, just outside of the great theatre. Staring at the night sky, she went over her introduction for the 50th time. It was no secret that tensions had been running high between the many groups of the Avatar fandom, lately. Once again, it was crucial that tonight go off with out a hitch.
She could hear the sound of people gathering and decided that she should head inside. She stood and smoothed down her deep purple evening gown. Straightening her red and blue sash, she walked in the back door of the theatre. General Iroh, her co-host, met her backstage.
“The crowd is gathering, General.” He said, a soothing rumble in his voice. He must have been able to tell she was nervous. “Shall we begin then?”
Alleluia looked to him, smiled and nodded. It was time to start this.
Taking her arm, like the gentleman he was, General Iroh led her toward the stage. A huge multitude of people was filing into the amphitheatre now. Their outfits ranged from the formal to the casual. (And was that a pair of pajamas she had just seen???) Some were in formal armor, clearly announcing what ship they supported. Others held flag and wore pins that said the same. Many wore no identifying markers at all. They were just here to enjoy Music Night.
As they walked on stage, the murmurs of the crowd grew in excited anticipation. Alleluia smiled at everyone and held up her hand, mutely requesting silence. As the conversation died down, she spoke.
“Hello, everyone. We would like to thank you all for coming to the second ever, all peoples’ Music Night!” She would have continued, but the cheers from those gathered drowned her out. Waiting for them to subside, she continued. Laughing a bit she said, “Thank you very much. Now I know we are all eager to get to the performances.” She held up her hand once more to forestall the cheers. “But before we do, I must set forth the ground rules once more. First off, there is to be no bashing of people or ships in the performances. Please remember to be courteous and civil to each other. Please leave some time after your performances to give the audience time to respond. Please remember to cite all copyrighted material.”
Someone in the third row holding a cake platter raised their right hand and opened their mouth to speak. Alleluia could guess what was coming and cut in. “All food is to be placed in the multi-purpose tents on the fair grounds, just outside.” She stated, gesturing toward the exits. “Now, if there are no further questions.” She paused here. When none responded, she continued. “All right then. I now declare Music Night officially open. Let the performances and merriment commence!”
Here we go again… Alle thought to herself as she exited the stage to thunderous cheers and headed for her box seat.
And so Music Night II had begun.

So welcome evryone to Music Night II!
A quick reminder of the rules:
Timing and organization:
-- Music Night will last as long as it lasts, which will probably be well into the morning hours knowing some of us. When the thread has been inactive for about thirty minutes, I will post asking if there are anymore people who would like to perform. If the thread is without performances for an additional hour, I will post the close that ends Music Night.
About posting a performance and how it works:
-- First off, no RPing is required to participate. If you aren't going to, though, I ask that you not come on and start conversations on here that disrupt the whole "Music Night" flow. Stay on topic, please.
-- There will be no introducing of people for performances. Basically that is up to you. After I give the intro that starts Music Night, everyone who posts a performance should intro themselves, perform, and then exit themselves all in one post. That way it is left open for the next person to do the same.
-- Please leave a five to ten minute interval between your post and the one before you to give time for the audience to react to the previous performance, if they so choose.
Performances:
--Ok, these can range in medium and form from songs, either made up or real, to poetry, to posting fanvid links, to even creating acts of some kind(a magician act or tumblers or something), and anything else you creative people can come up with.
-- We don't support plagiarism here. lol So if you are going to post copyrighted material, like song lyrics from real songs or poems by Emily Dickenson or something, please make a note somewhere in your post of who it really belongs to.
--Even though this idea started with Zutarians, performances dedicated to all ships or no ships or w/e are all welcome!
-- Performances cannot be a bashing of ANY ships. They must be polite. And clean. No vulgarity, or obscene picture links, or anything like that. I will personally smite you into oblivion for it, then complain to a mod.
That seems to about cover it. Please either PM me or post any questions you all have. See you all Friday!

--Also: What to do if a post comes up that is underneath another post with a video player that starts automatically.
Just press pause, stop, or lower the volume on the player control bar underneath where the video is displayed. Keep scrolling down and doing this until the last post is the only post that can be heard.
If a video player YOU are posting does not have a 'Pause' button, 'Stop' button, or 'Volume Control' scroller, just give us the link to the video instead of inserting the player into your post. It's not nice to have YOUR music play nonstop when others are trying to have theirs heard.
So, without further ado, let the performances begin! ^^
