The light burst into a thousand pieces, and shattered throughout the street. Aqulu felt a pulse, and stopped short, watching as everything brought itself back together. The townspeople were still staring off in the same direction they were when the orb broke. When Hok entered the portal. When the light became free from the cage.
Rain..
The mage looked up at the sky. The shattered rays of light were gathering around the clouds, slowly at first, then were finally sucked into the thick stream of moisture.
"What is she doing here? Look what she's caused!" A man pointed his finger at the girl. Aqulu turned to face them all. The drops of rain streaming down her pale face.
"Get out of here, witch!" A woman's voice rang from behind. "There are kingdoms far away that would enjoy your company. We don't!"
The water was gathering in the corners of the street, beginning to flow down the drains.
"Can you send for a horse?" Aqulu looked up and smiled.
"The sooner it gets here." She pointed towards the mountains. "The sooner I'll be gone."

Hokna looked around the house, and saw Kiyouh and her mother on a couch. Her mother delivered her daughter an icy stare, and Kiyouh smiled and waved. Hokna blushed. The Martial Artist pushed her onto an empty couch, and ordered her to lay there. He went outside and closed the main door with a slam. Hokna covered her ears so she couldn't hear the insults her mother was going to throw at her. “I'm not impressed, Hokna,” her mother said coldly, her eyebrows showing that she was angry. Hokna looked at the cushion on her couch instead of her mother. She heard soft footsteps behind her, and felt warm hands stroking her face. Tears started to run down her face, and the hand wiped them gently. Kiyouh's voice, a kind of voice that she swore she never heard before, flooded her ears, the voice like a melody waiting to be praised. “It's OK, Hokna. You don't have to answer her. But your mother was worried. I was worried. I didn't know why you wanted to run away. But it's OK. It's OK.” Hokna looked at her fiancée with eyes filled with tears. She nodded, and started to sit up, but her mother ordered her to lay back down. Kiyouh returned to his seat. “Don't you realize that I wanted to buy you something beautiful? Something for both of you when you marry? And what about your honeymoon? Your wedding night?” -Hokna shuddered when her mother said those two words- “Anyways, I want to get you two something special for you. I want grandchildren. I want you to become a mother. Why won't you accept it?” Hokna turned to look at the cushion again. She heard Kiyouh's melodic voice from a distance. This time, saying things that Hokna somehow loved. Something about how much he loved her. The words comforted her. Filled her with tranquility. But why did she run away? Why? “I want to teach you the meaning of respect, Hokna. Respect your fiancée. Respect your family. Respect your elders.” Hokna heard nothing but the soft footsteps again, and felt cloth covering her mouth. She tried to breathe, and felt a kiss on her cheek. “I'm sorry,” Kiyouh whispered with a sad voice. Hokna breathed, and was unconscious in an instant. Hokna's mother nodded to Kiyouh. “Take her to her room.”
The Marital Artist looked at the cloudy sky, the rain soaking his skin, his clothes, and his hair. He smirked and whispered “I won't let you leave Phamakia, Summoner.”

Ota glanced at Taiyou for a moment, then looked back at his hands that were resting in his lap. He sat there, unusually quite for a second, then shrugged, sighing. "I don't really know," his voice sounded much more serious than it had ever been. Taiyou shivered from the bleak cold of the castle. Why did I even come here?I went through so much with my training, and I'm still helpless. Her memory flashed back to a scene from a couple of years ago. She was sitting in a richly furnished room, across from an old man in enchanter robes. "What do you want?" he had asked gruffly. "Shouldn't you be off sewing or something?" Taiyou swallowed nervously. "I...I want to train. And become an enchanter." The old man raised his eyebrows in suprise, and stuck his pipe in his mouth. "No," he said flatly, a ring of smoke floating from the end of the pipe. "It is not something that a noblewoman-in-training such as yourself should even consider." He leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. "Now go away. I have important business to attend to." Taiyou bit her lip, but did not move. "Please sir...this is something I want to..." She stopped herself and began again. "Something that I need to do." The old man opened one eye and looked Taiyou up and down. He closed his eye and said, "You do realize what will happen if you get caught?" Taiyou nodded. The old man sighed. "Very well then. Meet me in the garden tomorrow at noon." Taiyou stood up and bowed to the old man, and whispered, "Thank you." Taiyou's eyes filled with tears, which she wiped away angrily. He risked his life to teachme. I won't let him down. She stood up looked around for the others. "Hey! Guys? Where are you?" Taiyou turned to Ota. "Did you see where they went?" [yay for random stuff that I make up on the spot. In the place where Taiyou comes from, nobles aren't really supposed to learn magic] [EDIT-- yes, I did change my OOC comment]

"Faster!" The mage dug her heels into the side of the steed.
"I'm going as fast as I can." He snapped up at her, throwing her a little off balance.
"You're supposed to be a horse? Are you not?" She watched the trees go by and by. The steed picked up it's pace, then whinnied.
"So why are you traveling like a donkey? Hurry up!" Aqulu held the reigns tighter, and brought her head down, to avoid being struck by low lying branches.
"I'll just be a little bit sooner, Hok. Need to round up some help, first."

[I'm so sorry I took forever to get here. I've been busy. Do you still need me to play as Kiyouh, or did you find somebody else already? If you still want me to roleplay, where should I start out?]
