Hokna looked around the Phamakian market, waiting to see if anyone knew her at all. She was in luck, because it seemed that no one was paying attention to the three companions standing in the street. A hand was on her shoulder, and she jumped and looked behind her.
"You're a Summoner, aren't you?"
Hokna saw a martial artist dressed in green robes which were decorated with dangling beads. His skin was tanned, which looked like he was from the Unai Kingdom. He had black hair that covered half of his face, and had an emerald headband on his forehead. He appeared to be fourteen years old. Hokna tried to find the right words. "Um... yeah?" The martial artists smiled and walked towards her. "Is your name Hokna?" She nodded.
The martial artist crossed his arms and frowned. "You must come home to your mother. She's worried." Hokna was filled with rage. "I don't care about this Summoner stuff anymore! If you see her, tell her that I'm not coming back ever!" The stanger stroked Hokna's hair. "You're so young and intelligent, yet so full of mistakes. I'm the only child of the last Martial Artist family that's left in the Phamakain Kingdom. They were once in the Unai Kingdom, too. They came here to get paid when they married, you know."
Hokna stumbled back, grasped the martial artist's wrist, and pinned him against the wall. "What's the translation for 'Phamakian'?" The man smiled. "'Pay for Marriage'. If you marry someone, the family and the married couple get paid a huge sum of Tei'Mai, depending on their class. In your case, the total would be...." He thought for a moment. "....Nine million Tei'Mai." Hokna growled. "So greed overtook my mother?" "I'm afraid so."

OOC;; Just stopping by. I'd love to be a bad guy for your RP, but I need some sort of explanation as to what's going on right now, and what I'm supposed to be doing, if that's alright? Unless you've already found someone else?

^Sure, just go post about it in the discussion thread if you haven't already;; -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hok.." The young mage started, watching the man carefully. "You don't need to go back with him, if you don't want to." She lowered her staff slowly, and made sure the marketers were minding their own business. The cloaked figure looked over at her and frowned subtly.
"She has no choice." He carefully reached over and grabbed an apple from one of the tables. Throwing it up in the air one.. two.. "She's following me back." The firm, red fruit hit the ground. "Whether she wants to or not."

Hokna looked at the apple on the ground, and back at the young man. She slapped him across the face, watched him look back at her in disbelief, and walked away with Aqulu.
The man gripped her arm tightly. "I said you're following me back."
------ Um, that was short. ^^;;;

Taiyou watched the three girls as they left. She wrapped her arms tighter around the orb, and realized with a start that she had forgotten to give it back to the girl who had saved her. Hopefully she won't miss it too much
She started to think about the meeting that had just ended. A war? Should I really get involved in the affairs of this place? Taiyou jumped and spun around, as she felt arms go around her. She glared at the now-laughing Ota. "Hey! Just wanted to make sure you were okay! You were out cold you know," he said as he sat down, still laughing. Taiyou sighed. She had no reason to hate Ota. During her few concious days of travel she had gotten to know him, to a certain extent.
She plopped down next to him. "Yeah, I'm fine. What's with this place anyway? It's like there's no sun or something." Taiyou stared into the gently glowing golden orb in her lap. And no life energy, she added silently.

Ota glanced at Taiyou for a moment, then looked back at his hands that were resting in his lap. He sat there, unuaually quite for a second, then shrugged, sighing. "I don't really know," his voice sounded much more serious than it had ever been.
[Wow, that was long. But I'm confused about what's going on, still. ]

Hokna looked at the stranger with cold eyes. She tried her best to yell, although the urge was very strong. She looked at him fiercely.
"I said.... I'M NOT GOING BACK!!!!"

[OOC] Yeah, it's a bit confusing. But nothing me or Hok post really has anything to do with you guys, I think. We're just in a market-place scenario where she's being dragged home by a stranger. ^^
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Let go of her!"
Aqulu's staff was directed at the boys peachy throat. She was eyeing both him, and Hokna carefully. The market place was growing more cautious of the situation taking place in the dusty street. Occasionally the wind would pick up, and pull at the fabrics of their clothing, creating the only noticeable movement after a while.
"Do it now, or I'll do it for you." The edge of the staff seemed to collect strands of light that were streaming through the market place. Soon, the area was dimmed, and only the outlines of the figures were visible. Living silhouettes.
"Just leave us alone. We don't want you hear." Hok's eyes were making out the curves of the young boy once more. Everyone was having a hard time adjusting to the absence of light. "Now." Her voice seemed to just crack.
The beam of light forming around Aqulu's staff was directed towards one person in the street of many. Making him the only possible target in a visual sense. But no longer were the marketers and townspeople gaping over what they were experiencing with the mage and summoner. They were interesting in the swift movement coming from behind them, breathing softly, in the pale light.
A shriek. A scream. One by one, occuring as a domino effect, the people began to notice the creature hurrying down the road towards the girls and the boy. Aqulu adjusted her staff so that it shown off in the distance, but instead it stopped on the young summoners eyes.
"Hok." Her tone was unsure. Before she could answer, the boy tightened his grip on the summoners wrists, trying to identify what lay ahead. The light faded slowly.
"Just what exactly did you summon?"

"I.....I.........I............." "Well, if it isn't the girl in the white dress* that caused this racket," a villager said silently, before turning his attention back to the creature. Hokna and Aqulu looked at the creature with shock. The creature, that appeared to be some strange martial artist, was looking at the young man. "Looks like we have the upper hand here. Right, friend?" The boy smiled, and turned Hokna around, trapped her wrists behind her back, and bound them with a cloth. "I don't care who you are. Just get that Mage somewhere she won't get out of." "I know just the place."
With the same piercing light that appeared before, Aqulu and the creature disappeared. The boy pushed Hokna through the crowd, and looked at everyone coldly. "Anyone, I repeat, ANYONE who will help this Summoner escape will face a terrible death by my fists! Got that?!" Everyone nodded in fear, and let the boy escort Hokna to her home.
When they reached her home, Hokna asked the martial artist a question. "Who hired you to take me back?" The boy turned Hokna around and looked at her with cold, piercing eyes. "None of your buisness, really. Now tell me: where the heck is your fiancee?" Hokna breathed deeply. "I don't know, really. Why, exactly? Do YOU want to marry me?" "Just shut up and get inside." "Okay, whatever." The martial artist turned Hokna back around and pushed her into the torture chamber. There, he looked at her with brown eyes that looked like they had a strange feeling in them. --------
*Sorry, got that from Krauser. (Although I edited two parts from it) ><;;;;
