Name: Thi, meaning "poem" in Vietnamese
Age: Seven
Gender: Female
Nation: Fire
Bender?: No
Appearance: Looking at her from a distance, one would immediatly notice Thi's large, turtleduck gold eyes that always seemed to be on the brink of tears. Around adults and those who can be easily manipulated they swell to a alarmingly adorable size though near those her own age they were often squinted and suspicious. This seems to be the only noticable quality about her though. Thi's face is round and a sickly pale color that makes her look like a corpse. She has a rather long forehead and large cheeks, making her pointed pink lips look even smaller. For a nine year old Thi is of average height though it perhaps chubbier than most. She enjoys wearing overly large yukatas that drape over her body and flow over the floor. If Thi had her way she would never comb her hair (the brush her mother uses is scratchy and hurts her scalp) but the descion doesn't lie with her. Therefore she is forced to have her thin, lanky black hair pulled back into a small bun behind her neck. All in all, Thi is the obvious definiton of "cute."
Personality: Thi knows that she's sweet and enjoys it throughly. Wealth and looks have spoiled the girl to the point where if what she wants isn't given to her, she'll let out an earsplitting screech. Because material posessions are so freely handed to her she has a hard time understanding why Daddy can't make the sicknesses her frail body is so vunerable to go away.
Thi cares alot about looks and sees the world in black and white: good people = pretty people and bad people = ugly people. When people break this stereotype (like her mother) she finds it hard to believe and will keep thinking against hope that because of the person's nice looks they are good deep down. This philosophy surprisingly enough keeps Thi more open minded than most in her country. When her father managed to obtain a water tribe hood for her Thi was impressed by the beautiful beadwork and craftsmanship. Since then she's had a hard time believing that the Water Tribe people are really the savages Daddy says they are.
Deep down Thi can be sweet when she wants to be. She loves animals and takes care of all a million cats and birds. She doesn't believe most people are up to being her friend and is often lonely. Whenever Thi gets lonely she asks Daddy for a new toy. Sooner or later it will stop stemming the lonliness.
History: Da is one of Fire Lord Ozai's top ecomnomic advisors. Thus he is given a gorgeous house and many servants. He hardly ever sees his wife Tien or his daughter Thi. Maybe it's because she doesn't see him enough to not like him, but Da is easily Thi's favorite parent. Tien is the daughter of a noble and is distantly related to the Fire Lord (as she constantly brags).
Thi was born sick and was kept inside for much of her early childhood. Tien never really wanted children and, if it weren't for Da's disaproval, would have sent Thi away to school years ago. Thi is at constant odds with her mother, usually over trivial things. And while Thi loves her mother deep down, the same cannot be said for Tien.
Not much can be said of Thi's childhood. She learnt to read and write from tutors and was showered with gifts. However she was often sick and there have been a few near-death expiriences.
