Name: Fenny, pronouned "Finny". Given to her as a childhood nickname for loving to play in the water, it's rather ironic now because she can't stand boats for the seasickness.
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Nation: Born and raised in the western earth kingdom, specifically in the deltas north of Omashu.
Bender?: Fenny is a performance firebender. She uses a very elegant controlled style, but is not very successful in battle.
Appearance: Fenny has light brown skin and nut brown slightly messy hair, which she keeps in a ponytail with bits of wire. She is short for her age, about 5 feet exactly, and is rather curvy. Her eyes are apple green and her mouth is very full and wide. She wears a brown cloth jacket which she has sewn up into a shirt, patching in bits of lace and other fabrics in the holes, especially at the elbows and the lower torso. Her pants are poofy and brown, and are mostly obscured by a warrior's split metal skirt. Her shoes are made of several odd pieces of leather, edged and ankled in red. The different pieces of leather fold around each other like a rose, leaving lots of small compartments in which to hide a dagger. A large cream-colored bow is tied around her waste with a black rose carefully embroided on one hanging end. The fabric is actually a firedancer's sash and is used in performace. It smells faintly of swamp water.
Lastly, Fenny has a mersnail shell on a thin leather strap around her neck, a token from her fiance, Koda.
Personality:Fenny thinks very maturely for her age, and because of Koda is very comfortable with herself and her womanhood. She can be rather short-tempered though, even snarky. She is also extremely expressive about her feelings, due to early training in acting.
History: Fenny was born a lovechild of a lonely fire nation soldier and an earth kingdom maiden. She was never actually named after her birth. Because motherhood without wedlock now often led to banishment or stoning in the smaller villages, Fenny's mother left her in the swamps to die when she was only a few weeks old. Luckily, the gypsies of the swamp, some of them abandoned by their families themselves over the generations when they were found to be firebenders by mixed heritage, took in Fenny and raised her alongside many other bastard or orphaned children. Therefore Fenny never knew her parents, and never cared to miss them.
Fenny was schooled in the ways of flirtation, pickpocketing, and dance, as well as many other gypsy necessities. At age 16 she began to work with their masquer's troop in the spring, touring the south, and once even Omashu. It was there she fell in love with a burly, gentle-eyed drummer named Koda. They were engaged within a year.
Unfortunately, before they could be married the next summer, a fleet of pirates attacked the village at which they were curently hosting their acts. Their camp was attacked as well. There was a a terrible skirmish, and many of the troop were killed or fled. Fenny and several of the other young women were taken as prizes, and seperated to different ships. Fenny escaped a few ports and several months later. Roughed up, but not broken in determination, she decided to search for her lost love, with the secret desperate wish they could revive the troop and bring back things to the way they used to be.
