History: Born and raised in Omashu, Bumi is the hier to the throne. He is also good friends with the Aang, the newest Avatar, and enjoys getting into trouble with him and having fun. And though his earthbending skills aren't truely developed yet, he has the potential to one day become a powerful earthbending master.
He was around the same time Avatar Aang was. He met the Avatar a few years before the war started when came to visit Omashu for the first time. And since then, they have been best friends and Bumi loved teaching Aang new ways to have fun and having him think in ways he normaly wouldn't.
He found out he was the hier to the throne when he was 2 and by learning that, he decided he could act as mishievous as he pleased cause no one would even think about trying to discipline their future king. But although he was mishievous, he was in now way evil. He always had a good heart and helped those in need. And though the people of Omashu were often irritated by his antics, they still loved him and just couldn't resist his playful charm.
As often as he would annoy and irritate people, he would also make them laugh and smile, especially when he'd fall off the delivery carts and just stand up and laugh that whacky laugh of his. He also likes to take nothing seriously, including his earthbending. And though he is quite skillful for his age, his teachers think he could be much better if he'd just take his teachings seriously. But there is no doubt in the people of Omashi's eyes that he will one day make a great and charasmatic king.
After Aang disappeared, however, Bumi got worried and wondered if Aang had botten hurt or worse from taking after him and perhapse got into some trouble he couldn't get out of. After that, Bumi quickly settled down, and though he still had his fun, the people of Omashu noticed an inherrant sadness to him. He wanted to go searching for his friend, but his father wouldn't allow it. So Bumi decided to dedicate himself to his lessons in earthbending and practicing all the 82 known types of jins.
When he finally came of age, and his father was near the end of his days, Bumi took one last venture from Omashu to the Air Temple where Aang lived hoping he might have returned or that someone had heard from him. But his adventure was for not. And when he returned after a few weeks, his father died the next day and the burden of taking the throne and leading the city of Omashu was laid heavily on Bumi's shoulder. And from that day forth, he stayed in Omashu and became the King everyone, including his father, knew he would become.
