Name: Lyran
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Nation: Earth Nation
Bender?: Yes
Appearance: Rough, dirty skin. Green eyes. Long dark brown hair. Goatee. Rather tall, at least 6'1".
Personality: Normally lightearted and carefree, Lyran is rather serious and stubborn when it comes to Earthbending, but is very loyal to his friends. Friends, however, are few and far between, as he generally dislikes people except his lover, his family, and the people he met while working unloading carts and wagons.
History: Born to a farming family in the Outer Ring of Ba Sing Se, Lyran gladly worked the field with his father upon turning 6 and continued to work for 5 years until he discovered that he was an Earthbender, when he was sent away by overjoyed parents to learn Earthbending by a renowned teacher in the Inner Ring. He learned as much as he could in 5 years, but was told by his teacher that experience is the best teacher, so he was turned loose, but rather than just returning home to the farm, he left Ba Sing Se to see as much of the world as he possibly could, but didn't make it very far when a Fire Nation soldier witnessed him Earthbending and arrested him. Rather than being taken to some manner of prison, he was taken to a nearby town which had been invaded and taken over by a Fire Nation noble, who, upon meeting Lyran and finding that he was strong for a young man of his age, put him to work unloading supplies for the soldiers. For 5 years, Lyran worked unloading carts and wagons, meeting interesting people and finding that some Fire Nation, including the leader of the town, aren't all bad. The lord came to like Lyran and introduced him to his daughter, Kagome. A friendship grew between Lyran and Kagome, and eventually, a romance blossomed, which was what the lord wanted: A hard working man for his precious daughter, even an Earthbender. Rather than being dismayed about the somewhat arranged relationship, Lyran and Kagome were both happy, thus making the lord happy. Before a wedding could be held, and Lyran made an official member of the family, something unheard of as the Fire Nation was at war with the other nations of the world, Earth Nation soldiers invaded the town and kidnapped Kagome in an attempt to try and make the lord withdraw his troops from the town and ultimately leave himself. Not only was the lord upset that his daughter had been kidnapped, Lyran was upset as well, and swore a vow to the lord that he would get Kagome back. He succeeded, but is now viewed as a traitor to the Earth Nation.
((Long-winded history, I know. I have a lot for this guy. A little bit Gary Stu as well, this I also know. I'm still workin on him. Bear with me.))
