I'll finish the rest later, Alleluia! Haha, this is getting pretty long, but I hope you enjoy it!-------------------------------------
Aang, Toph, Sokka, and Katara had been staying the night at a kind villager’s home on the outskirts of the town. Someone must have leaked the information out, because when Aang woke up, none of his friends, not even Appa and Momo, were around.
Aang was wary, hoping that perhaps he had just slept in and everyone else was readying for departure. *But Sokka’s always the last to wake up* he thought.
Aang pushed the door to the barn open.
“Katara!” he called. “Momo! Sokka! Appa? ...Toph?”
No one was about. Aang burst inside the house, only to find six Fire Nation soldiers waiting there for him. He turned around to see six more outside. He was surrounded....
“Where are your little friends, Avatar? Are you worried about them?” asked a pointy-nosed soldier greasily.
“Where are they?!” demanded Aang.
“If you surrender, you’ll find out.”
Aang had no choice.
----------------------------------
Aang was chained to the wall of a large cell, next to Katara. While going in, he had tried to blow on his bison whistle so that Appa might come and rescue them. It was in vain, however. It was soon taken from him and he was told that the bison and he lemur were chained up somewhere, too.
“Sorry, you guys,” he muttered after the cell door had been slammed shut.
“Oh, Aang, you didn’t mean for this to happen!” comforted Katara.
“Some Avatar!” cried Toph. “Of course he didn’t mean for it to happen but- Aang, you were our only hope at escaping!”
Before Katara could say something, Sokka barged in.
“Enough, Toph! Aang tried, okay?!” After a moment,, though, Sokka slouched back. “But let’s face it. No one’s coming to rescue us.”
No one spoke for hours with the exception of a few complaints about the tight chains around their wrists and ankles. The morning turned to afternoon, afternoon turned to night. A sliver of silver moonlight shone onto the cold, stone floor. It clashed with the golden glow of lamps overhead. A bird’s twitter was soon the only sound that reached their ears through the night.
Suddenly, they heard clangs and shouts from outside the door. They turned their heads sharply toward the sound and raised they’re eyebrows at each other. Aang gasped. ...it couldn’t be.
The door burst open and in strode the Blue Spirit, duo swords in hand.
“Ah!” cried Sokka as Katara gasped and Toph flinched.
“You-!” shouted Aang, but he was cut off as the Blue Spirit put a finger to his wooden lips. The masked figure turned his head flowingly, finger still to his lips, so that everyone knew not to make a sound.
The Blue Spirit went to Aang first and freed him. Aang was afraid that the spirit wouldn’t free any of the others and was about to say something, when the masked man sliced his swords at Katara’s chains. Aang was a little surprised and he looked up with confusion as he helped Katara to her feet. The Blue Spirit only nodded at him before turing to the opposite wall.
He cut Toph’s chains, then paused in front of Sokka. He turned to look at Aang, as if saying “Do I have to?”
Aang nodded, amused, but still disapprovingly.
After Sokka was freed, they left the cell, Aang and the Blue Spirit in front. The went down a corridor and up a flight of stairs, everyone in a while coming upon a soldier or three.
They came upon a corridor with as open door where there were five soldiers drinking, talking, and laughing merrily. The Blue spirit signaled for them to keep low. He silently, but swiftly, crossed to the other side of the door and waved for the rest to follow his example. Sokka was the last one, but as he was crossing, he stopped.
“My boomerang!” he shouted. The men in the room it seemed had been going through the gang’s things, arguing over who got what. The men saw Sokka and started clammering forwards.
Toph and Katara grabbed Sokka and everyone started running, the soldiers not far behind.
This is awesome, Story. can't wait for the rest.
