^ Well Azula was never actually crowned so the citizens probably didn't know about it therefore they wouldn't see it a more needless violence as Iroh believed it would be seen if he fought Ozai.

Nice posters, nandi & kratos.
Iroh said the Avatar should be the one to defeat Ozai. I like to think it was because as master of all four elements and a spirit borne of all the four nations, only the Avatar could take Ozai out without raising all kinds of allegations.

But it's still a little ridiculous to think that the FN (well, the politcals anyway) would accept Zuko as Fire Lord when he hasn't 'proven himself' the way Iroh, Ozai and arguably Azula had. (And we know this is suppose to happen by tradition from outside source material; Bryke even said in an interview that Ozai probably went around fighting people in order to get a rep as a powerful firebender.) One of the major reasons why that fight bugs me because Zuko didn't win it, thus hasn't proven himself and no one is going to accept a waterbender giving it to him and the Avatar has been seen as the enemy for 100+ years...
But the Ember Island Players depicted FN citizens something akin to mindless sheep...
/thinking about this too much ignore plz...

Maybe the fact that Zuko had the support of the Avatar and pretty much the rest of the world was enough? Yeah...that bothered me too...I DID make a poster to that effect...not sure what page it's on...so here it is again...  And I think that Zuko technically did beat Azula...if she shot that lightening at him and not at Katara he wouldn't have gotten injured saving her. |

Because in the past the Fire Nation probably didn't have any doubts that they could conquer the world or anything when the war started... (in truth, Sozin probably did have detractors, he just silenced them really fast so that others wouldn't think it was a good idea.) Doesn't help that Zuko is going to massively change the status quo and is going to try to be nice about it...
Just saying, that for s2 to show relevant political and social pressure in BSS and then show almost none in s3/FN is just... sad. Then again, maybe Zuko will manage a Vetinari and no one will want to get rid of him unless they're crazy or racist.

She cheated buy bringing a bystander into the fight, so even though Zuko didn't defeat Azula, his "team" did. |

Yes...I do believe that would have been grounds for a forfeit...hardly a one on one grudge match when you attack a spectator.

Actually...we pretty much vetoed all shipping related Motivational Posters...it got kind of ugly...people were getting upset...calling each other names...so...yeah...
