Firebending Yuuyan archers. Now that would be freakin awesome. Flame arrows anyone?

Why would they use bows if they could firebend? It would be kinda pointless, cause firebending has more uses than a bow. Besides, using fire arrows isn't really stealthy, and the Yuu Yan archers are meant to be snipers for the Fire Nation army.

And bows are cool. ;D Bows FTW!!

Oh these guys were definitely cool and the move off the cliff was amazing. But they are a reminder as to why the argument could be made against "Avatar" being just another kiddie show.
I was watching the "Blue Spirit" ep while at work and my office mate looked at my monitor and said "you watch that? It's for kids." Told him to shut his trap and just watch. Yu Yan Archers came on and he says: "Okay, maybe this isn't just for kids. They're shooting arrows at a kid and pinning him to a fallen tree."

Yeah, they are a perfect supporting point that Avatar is not entirely meant for younger audiences. Moreso, it's more of a teen audience type show. too bad that the makers can only get so much past censorship groups and committees (blasted FCC ). In any case, it would be really cool to see them again, for sure.

Someone should make a fan listing for them. I mean, they are the most under appreciated characters in the Show.

Haha, the Yuu Yan archers are definately not for lil kiddies

Long live Yun-Yan Archerers. ^.^ Skilled, fast, and sometimes incredibly handsome-I have no complaints. *But I wish they were on Aangs side somewhat. >.<*

in the preview for the next ep (avatar day), there is a Yu Yan archer that uses flaming arrows in the opening scene.

I've noticed something about the acher's facepaint. The points that run down their cheeks are somewhat different lengths on different archers. Maybe that has something to do with their rank or skill. Or maybe I'm just over-observative.

They could go on crazy adventures together or something. And then it'd be like LoTR, with Zuko-Iroh-Yuyan dude == Aragorn-Gimli-Legolas. Wow, that was a bizarre comparision. Anywho, I want the Yuyan to come back. They have mad skillz at capturing people, you'd think the FN would use them more often (Like...to capture the Avatar? It worked like a charm the first time.)

Yu Yan Archers would be even more of a threat to the Earth Kingdom. Night raids on small towns.

Yu Yan Archers would be even more of a threat to the Earth Kingdom. Night raids on small towns. i sort of got the impression that after Aang escaped, that they were sent back to the fort for security detail again or maybe something worse. After all, Zhao isn't really one to take responsibility for his actions most of the time. My theory is that he probably blamed the archer who knocked out Zuko for the avatar's escape by not pinning Aang or something like that.
