It's possible that he'll tell her about the whole guru thing in the first few episodes, therefore letting her know his feelings, then he'll say they can't be together, but in the last few episodes the find a way

I think the creators would save that moment for the end, when all the loose ends are tied up. I'd like to see it sooner, but I doubt we will. I'm not sure how they'll be able to put it off that long though, with all of the heavy hints they've been dropping.

"Far Away" by Nickelback always reminds me of Kataang, but I have no clue why.... It does for me too, funny I have that song stuck in my head right now.

Yeah, the lyrics describe their relationship well, but whenever I hear that song I think of groundhog day lol.

Good idea! There are a whole bunch of modern day Zutara fics on ff.net, but so far I've only found 3 kataang ones.

I mean I like the 3rd one, but they're all nice! I wish I knew how to make graqhics, but unfortuantely, Im clueless and I don't have photoshop. But we need a DT.... hmmmm, If Aang and Katara lived in modern day, what would their relationship be like? Wierd, I know, but it's all I can think of at the moment.

He'd turn into a Zuko without them (no offense to Zuko and his fangirls!) H'd probably be off sulking by himself alot, or maybe he'd just break down and cry. The love of his friends is what keeps the smile on his face when things look bad, without them he'd just be a shell of a human being with all of his emotions in a tangle.

Whoa, I wasn't on at all yesterday *Is ashamed* I was at a Bat Mitzvah But anyways to the topic! I agree with what you guys are saying, I don't see how Aang could survive without his friends. Like Katara said, they're his family. Without them, Aang wouldn't have anything to fight for. He'd also probably really stressed out and depressed, he has all of that pressure on him, plus his whole nation is gone and he's expected to do whatever is best for the world, no matter what the cost. His friends (especially Katara) are always there to help him through hard times, give him comfort, support, love etc...

I agree, Iroh is undoubtedly the wisest character in the show, even if the guru is 150 years old. He is also very wise, but Iroh is a more simple man, and if any one deserves love, it's Aang. I think Iroh is completely right in this issue.

He might try to keep it a secret for a while, but then he'll come around and do what's best for the world, no matter what the costs for him. Aang's very noble that way, he'll let go of his own happiness for the good of others, and I'd trust him to do that in any situation, even if I don't want him to.

Yeah, after a huge war like this, there's bound to be turmoil in the aftermath that Aang'll have to help clean up. Plus, the poor kid's suffered through so much, the last thing he deserves is death. He's just found new friends to love him, it would be downright cruel to rip him away from the only people who care about him.

Exactly, and if you rewatch the first episode, the plot really doesn't seem to be set up for Aang to die.
