It was when Sokka said about bringing Jet's memories back,"Maybe Katara could kiss him, that should bring something back." Katara: Maybe you should kiss him,Sokka Sokka: Hey it was just an idea Aang: *looking a little bit ticked* A bad one... I somehow missed that when I watched the episode Will have to look it up again. It was very subtle, but in a good way. I thought Aang was referring to how Sokka's kissing Jet was a bad idea ;D snerk*

I kinda believe that "Lake Loagai" could be a part two in "The Earth King"

...I think Katara's healing is getting a little intense though, she can like fix Jet's mind @_@... She didn't so much heal his mind, as provide the extra focus he needed to break through his own mental barriers to get at the memories. Sort of her own form of hypno-therapy, you might say.

I was quite distracted It did feel very rushed. There was a lot of material that needed covering and it all felt kind of mashed together, like we were watching a montage of 2 episodes compressed into one (which is probably why it moved so quickly).

Toph said that Jet was lying when he said he was okay, so I would say he dies. If he doesnt though, Im sticking with my corny theory about how when you least expect it, in an episode he will randomly appear and save th day.

I agree with the minority that Jet is dead. The story gains so much more depth with the death of a major secondary character, though this show is for a much younger audience than yours truly (nearly 20 yrs old blegh, "20, the age that doesn't matter") It does quite well for providing a story to its demographic. I personally wish this was for an older audience, it would be so much better if it were.
Despite the obvious changes Zuko is going through, as for his joining the Gaang to teach Aang firebending I doubt he has the right mentality to teach anyone firebending much less Aang.
Everyone wonders if we'll see smellerbee or longshot or even jet again... I'm personally wondering what happened to Jin [(she still has that coupon) so far as we know]
It is good to see the entire Gaang back together. But i'm thinking if Appa gains yet another passenger its going to become too much to bear. *shrugs* This episode has everyone in a tizzy.
Too much speculation for my liking, I'll just assume a meditative pose until the next episode.

Even if Jet isn't dead, he's no doubt critically wounded (maybe even crippled). If he does die, I'm glad he went down with a fight. He was a tragic hero who did the right thing, just in a completely different way.
I'm kind of torn, though, as this episode opens up more characterization for the Rough Rhinos. The rough rhinos killed Jet's parents which could lead to a possible encounter between the two. The rough rhino's themselves seem to be the greatest "behind the scenes" characters and they seem to have their hands in everyone's past (heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved with the death of Iroh's son).

This episode was really good. The rough rhinos do seem to have a lot to do with the story, they'll probably assume a much larger role as the series progresses. On a much lighter tone: LITTLE JET WAS ADORABLE! He was so tiny and lovable...

Maybe the Rough Rhinos, or more specifically Colonel Monke, are/is the "surprise villain."

I agree with some of the psoters on this page...Jet was a fave character of mine too. He is dead or dying, I really doubt he would come back for vengeance on the Rhino Riders... IF he does that would be out of Diamante's style and would make this mature cartoon seem a little too kiddish. IF EJt dies or at least remains MIA that would keep a good spicy end there that no one would exactly know but can continue speculating on.

All I can really say is this: Poor Joo Dee. They hypnotise pretty young women into greeting people and telling them that their name is Joo Dee. That poor woman had her true identity not only hidden from others, but stolen from herself!
