I just thought of something last night. There was that uncomfirmed rumor for a while that Aang & Katara's other two children were waterbenders, but back in the original ATLA, didn't Bryke at one point confirm that all air nomads are benders? I seem to remember them saying something like that, but I can't recall clearly enough to know if it was fact or just one of the many rumors >.<. Anyways, do you think that still applies when an air nomad marries another kind of bender or not? 'Cuz that would mean all of Aang's kids are airbenders....hmm.

Regarding the Air Nomads being all Airbenders, definitely not a rumour. There was an interview with Mike & Bryan...... here, on ASN (near the top) where they talk about the bending and why the Air Nomads had the highest amount of benders. I think it was mentioned somewhere else too, maybe in-show, but I can't quite remember. For Aang and Katara's kids' bending abilities, that question was answered in the Sozin's Comet book (after the novelization of the finale there was a Q&A with Bryke in the back). I'm not sure if there's still a scan of it online, but the answer was that Kataang's kids could be Waterbenders, Airbenders, or non-benders. I'm curious too though what Tenzin's older siblings are. Even though Tenzin's wife is a non-bender, all of their kids are Airbenders, so, maybe it's like a dominant gene?

I know this hasnt been officially confirmed and would appreciate if the Forum's Dai Li could find out if this horrible story is true or not: Avatar, the Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra, delayed until 2013 Posted by Cat Cain On Sep 5, 2011 5:05pm in Movies The Animation Insider recently reported that “Avatar, the Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra” will possibly be delayed until 2013. Several sources report this news, although the series was supposed to be released this fall and had then suffered a delay in the release until the summer of 2012. The fans of the animated series “Avatar: the Last Airbender” may not be pleased about this: apparently more and more media articles are stating that the last season, “The Legend of Korra”, will be delayed for ma second time. The Legend of Korra was first scheduled to be released in the fall of 2011, but due to some complications, it had to be postponed for almost a year. Being expected to be released in the summer of 2012, now, rumors started that it will actually be delayed one more year. None of the official staff members who work on the series has confirmed the news. However, one staff member has contacted Avatar Wiki and said that they have not yet decided upon a release date due to a series of complications that the team in currently dealing with. www.dailygossip.org/avatar-the-last-airbender-the-legend-of-korra-delayed-until-2013-1441

Eeugh. D: That's going to be awful if that ends up being true. I've done some digging though, but I can't seem to find any real sources or facts regarding it. Your link, the Daily Gossip, mentions that the info came from Animation Insider. I'm guessing that it might be this article which talks about the new comic and the new show, "now scheduled for 2013." However this article just seems to be a rehashed/fleshed out version of the Dark Horse announcement regarding the comic, which also mentioned the Korra show as "coming to Nickelodeon in 2013." At this year's SDCC, Mike and Bryan confirmed that the show was ready to air, and that it was just waiting for Nickelodeon to set things up. I'm trying to remember what the DA accounts for some of the people who worked on Avatar were, maybe they'll know something about what's going on. But for now, there doesn't seem to be any real proof regarding this rumour, so I'm going to hope that it is just a typo and a bad game of Telephone. edit: The Daily Gossip also mentions Avatar Wiki; I think its referring to This discussion on the delay rumours, there doesn't seem to be a confirmation on it being true or false either.

The thing that perplexes me, is that if Airbending is dominant, why were there so few (atleast that's how it felt to me)?

@nandi: Ooh, that's a good theory. God though, I hope those different parts of the comics aren't gonna be released like, 6 months apart :/. That would be awful.

If Airbending is dominant then ALL of Aang's kids would have been airbenders...that's what dominant means! Actually, if Airbending was dominant if Aang was heterozygous for the trait his kids would only have a 50% chance of being Airbenders. But of course if he was homozygous all his children would be Airbenders. But I actually don't think Airbending was dominant. I read in one of the books that because all the Air Nomads were so spiritual they all had the ability to bend.

That's great news! Hopefully that means they can start revealing some more info by summer, if it is going forward with a fall release.

I agree, definitely good news. It's good to know it will be sometime this year, so we should be getting some information in the next several months. I wonder how the option to create more episodes will effect the storyline though. Will the original storyline be 26 episodes, that they will then add onto, or will the expand the original storyline.
