Viacom is suing Youtube for $1,000,000,000 dollars because of all of the copyrighted videos that have been uploaded. They could take legal action against fans for uploading videos, which could cripple your family financially. Please watch this video and tell as many people as you can. www.youtube.com/watch?v=94K0fAIBQHUThe creator is a toy designer, and the video has a light note for about 15 seconds until he talks, then he reviews fail toys.

I've never uploaded anything to YouTube...but can't Viacom see they're shooting themselves in the foot here? The people that upload stuff aren't making any money off it, but in sharing it they're allowing people to see something they might not have otherwise seen who then could go out and buy the actual product! They're HELPING Viacom!
But what they're doing...it's just going to turn people against them. Going after their viewers? They're their meal ticket! People won't want to watch or buy their stuff. They're going to have a huge boycott on their hands!
They certainly turned me off quite some time ago when this suing YouTube crap first reared it's ugly head. I almost wept when I heard Peter Laird has completely sold the Ninja Turtles to Nickelodeon (I can't tell you the last time I actually watched Nickelodeon) because I knew it meant Viacom were getting their grubby hands on them! And they'll probably totally ruin them!

I had some on YouTube, but it's already been deleted.

I remember Viacom going after Youtube and removing a lot of clips a few years back, but it's disappointing that they're doing it again, especially when they're going about it all wrong. Yes, there is a lot of copyright infringement, but they should do what other companies have done -- get in on it! This sort of media isn't going away, so they should learn how to evolve and take advantage of it and all of the free advertising their material gets from fans and good word of mouth, instead of making fans mad and creating a backlash.
I really hope Viacom doesn't go after fans/Youtube users though, because that's absolutely insane. These companies need to learn how to work with fans instead of scaring them off.

Like I stated...Viacom want to be paid in damages from all this. Beside all this take downs is done with google/youtube as well. NBC Universal has the same issue.

this crap started the moment youtube was bought out by people with money (Google)
And nobody was ever able to accuse Viacom of managing Avatar wisely.
