Hey guys; anyone here in LA or Denver? There's a market research firm looking for Avatar fans to participate in their paid focus group. ($100 for 2 hours of your time) The groups begin June 11th and 12th in LA, and June 15th and 16th in Denver.
Participants will need to answer some questions to qualify though, so if interested please contact: (For LA:) email allyce@trotta.net with your name, age, and phone number; and for Denver: call 303-592-5060 and reference project 1037.
--- Anyone think they'd be able to go? It'd be interesting to see if it's about the movie merchandising or some other Avatar things...

I'm in Denver temporarily because my parents live here these days... I'll be in town for those dates. I don't exactly live IN Denver though, I'm about 30 miles out..... But depending on what time they need people out there, I'll see if I can go. Time to go see if I qualify! Thanks so much for the info. Update (for DENVER): Okay, they told me they are looking for high school/middle school students (grades 5-12, I think) or peopel ages 26-45. I'm 19 and just finished my first year of college, so I was told that I "fall through the cracks. However, when I mentioned that there was a good-sized fanbase among college-age people, they took my phone number and I was told I would be contacted if they decided they want a handful of college kids. So anyone just a bit younger than I am or quite a bit older should be good.

Ooh, thanks for the info! That's too bad about them excluding the late-teen/early-twenties crowd though. I guess that means I wouldn't be allowed in either, even if I did live in LA. I hope they will consider a future focus group for that age bracket though; there are a lot of fans (especially online) that fall into that group.

I did tell them that there was a big fanbase within that age group... the woman I spoke to said she'd speak to her supervisor about it and see if they would consider opening it up. I don't see how more information could hurt them! Perhaps try sending an email to them anyway, perhaps the people running it out of LA will be open to suggestions as well.

it would be cool to join but i fall through the cracks as well and live on the other side of the country oh well...
they should allow older teens they have a bigger fanbase in older teens and college kids than they think and i'm sure this age group has more interest in and money to put towards avatar than other age groups

5-12 is a little ridiculous.
13-24 is a huge part of the fan base.
Probably 98% of this forum, actually. How upsetting.
