I am not sure if this is a thread or not, but i was wandering who are the character in the theme song of Avatar and why did they chose those characters to be in the beginning. I know it is Pacu, The Bolder and Azula but who is the Airbender?

Probably an older Aang. That or a younger Gyatso.

Whoever it is, it seems to me that he has farily pronounced eye brows and a moustache.

I think it's probably either a younger Gyatso or some random monk. I'm pretty sure that it's not Aang, because of the facial hair. P.S.- I think I memorized the whole Katara speech from the beginning... Water, Earth, Fire, Air Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an Airbender named Aang. And although his Airbending skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he can save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world. I think that's right. (By the way, absolutely NO copying/pasting or writing it down, or reading it, was used in this process.) EDIT- Yay 350 post MILESTONE!!!

By the way, the second character isn't The Boulder. It is Sud-Roku's earthbending teacher. He appeared in ep 6 book 3.

This has been pondered before, and it's already been determined that the four benders are the greatest benders of their respective elements, two past, two present. For Water, it's Master Pakku. For Earth, it's Avatar Roku's Earthbending teacher (who's name I'm not sure about). For Fire, it's Azula. And for Air, it's Monk Gyatso.

^^ Do you have a link to the previous threa about this, Ghanef? It's been discussed in various episode topics, but I believe the The Avatar and the Firelord episode thread has some about the Earthbender in the intro. That's the best I can do.
