I hate how they always say for children. The DVD's are always in the Kids TV section of the store.

I hate how they always say for children. The DVD's are always in the Kids TV section of the store. That's because it's a children's show. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember previous years having more slots for animated television programs. Like this year Avatar's not getting any nods for storyboarding, animation, or whatever. And of course "Best Animated Video Game" continues to be the most confusing, and arguably re tarded, category.

^ Of course youre right, GOD, but I also know what MasterPakku means. When I went browsing for Avatar dvds, I could feel everybody in the store staring questioning arrows at me like they were 2 seconds away from calling child protection services or the interpol about that childless adult browsing the children's section. I half debated coming up with a "My nephew/niece's birthday is next week. He/she will love these." when paying for the things at the check out counter.

You know what I hate? Since Avatar is in the children's category, it gets mixed in with all the other children's shows that are total crap. Sure, it makes Avatar look better, but still, it's like browsing through the kid's section for the DVDs.
I mean, seriously, the Mighty B is in line, too. >.< Not even Amy Poehler (sp?) can save that show.

I guess the important thing is that it got nominated and is continued to be recognized.
I hate Dinsey Channel, I don't watch one thing on there. I feel that they have worse shows than......well most channels. The only thing that I would even remotely be interested in watching is Jake Long. I watch alot of Cartoon Network and Boomerang, they have all the cool old shows!

And of course "Best Animated Video Game" continues to be the most confusing, and arguably re tarded, category. And the Kung Fu Panda tie-in game won that one. Some how. Speaking of which, they won everything. Wall-E got zero awards. Also I hate existing.

^ Yeah, cant believe Kung Fu Panda beat Wall-E as best animated feature (although I do love the film). I wonder if this is how the Oscars will shape up. Loving it! Joaquim Dos Santos is the man!

It isn't, seeing as there's no "Waltz with Bashir" to split the mildly intelligent demographic, and the Academy doesn't have the same fascination with squash and stretch. And while the academy is obviously prone to laughable pretentiousness (DID SOMEONE SAY HOLOCAUST MOVIE?) at least that pretentiousness keeps them from holding "fun movie" on the same bar as "actually good movie."
