Well Toph was dressed in a most questionable manner, and the Zutara poses were quite mature.
But it was all kept to a suitable level.

Tooo bad there's no more ATLA. Now we can't learn the names of the Kataang and Maiko babies. Thank [insert deity of choice] for that! I like that it ended with nothing irreversibly set in stone...now all the fans can dream up their own perfect ending (if they don't agree with Mike and Bryan's) and everyone can be happy And why does everybody leave out Sukka?

I'd like to take a trip to that parallel universe you're living on where you think the finale is "shoddy". Is it fun...do they have...beaches? Actually we do have beaches. I was on the boogie board just yesterday. But it was crowded. Really crowded. Get it? There's a lot of us here in this 'parallel universe'. No echo chambers for us!!! Trilly makes a good point. Why bring up Ursa as if there's going to be further episodes if there won't be? Not a teaser for the movie since it's about season 1. It's a mystery. Doug the Head: We've got sandy beaches... Avi: So? Who the [ ] wants to see 'em? The scene tells us that now the war is over, Zuko can focus on looking for his mother. It also tells us that live goes on in Avatar world long after the credits rolled. The issue wasnt dismissed or forgotten. Looking for Ursa was never ever the main focus of the series and it didnt have to be resolved any further than that. In fact to do so would detract from the overall story which is part of the reason I think the story board was cut (I think Mike claimed responsibility in the Q&A?). When you guys watch other movies, do you honestly expect every single aspect raised to be dragged out and ribbon wrapped on screen?

Yeah...there's a couple of sorta-animated shorts of cartoony Mike and Bryan sitting on a couch introducing the two episodes they showed...and cartoon Bryan is on cartoon Mike's case about the Ursa issue... Before... After...

I accept your POV, now as my own.
The whole point of Avatar was Aang, an innocent boy, knowing nothing of the war, after being absent for one hundred years, over the course of three seasons, sixty episodes, learning and mastering the three remaining elements, and the avatar state, then to defeat the firelord.
That objective has been met. What more can we ask? Why do we ask? Why more Avatar? We started watching knowing the point was to defeat the fire lord.
It has been met, it's over now. To continue with a new plot would be a horrible way to celebrate, cherish, and remember all the laughs, the tears, and the memories the first three seasons have brought us.
Sure, we can beg and plea for more, but it would just not be the same. There is nothing to pull us to the next episode. All we have left now, is the fandom. Let's not let that break down.

When you guys watch other movies, do you honestly expect every single aspect raised to be dragged out and ribbon wrapped on screen? No, but when the fate of a character is deeply linked to the mental states of both the main antihero and the "evil mastermind", I don't think it's too out of line to ask for some closure. I completely agree with Mike's choice by itself. Adding Ursa into the finale would have made the whole thing feel even more rushed and slammed together. But if they're serious about not really continuing the story, that's a pretty poor conclusion to Zuko and Azula's characters.

Before... After... *Karmas and hugs for the clip* @trilly. I personally think that Zuko is now in a place that he will be able to find peace whatever he learns or ultimately doesnt learn about his mother. He now knows exactly who he is and that he is becoming the just kind of man that both his mother and Iroh always knew he could be. The redemption of Azula on the other hand would need an entirely new series, in my opinion.

I seriously doubt Zuko's going to have time to go looking for his mother...or for anything else...he's got the mess of three generations to clean up. But now that he's in charge he could just send out the word that her banishment has been revoked and she could just come home on her own.
