"Noa, they won't shut up."
"Hmm?" was all Noa mumbled not even half awake
As Hati moved away from Noa, his arms stretched off as his hands were still hooked at her waists. His grip then gave way when she got herself up. "Hey..." Noa said softly with his eyes squinted, "where you going, Hati?" Without Hati's warm body next to him he suddenly noticed the modest chill of the desert night; he twitched a short chill. His arms were still out waiting for her to come back. But too tired and lazy to extend his attention span more than a couple seconds so he curled his arms to his chest, hand under his neck and his eyelids closed back.

Abeni blinked and peered out at the sandbenders. "Whats going on?" She asked softly.
Matsu frowned slightly, how was he feeling? Well that was hard to catagorize. "I hurt." He said slowly after a moment of thought. "What about you?"
Hati paused, he looked so adorable sleeping. She peeked outside, well, they weren't coming into their tent at least. She laid back down next to him and grabbed his arms, wrapping them around her waist again. "I'm not going anywhere Noa."

Saiki jumped a bit; she had forgotten that Abeni was awake. She walked back to where Abeni was in a few quick stride and crouched down next to her. "The sandbenders are packing. We'll be leaving in an hour or so." Now that she was more awake, Saiki didn't want to sit down. The idea of a long trip bothered her, but she knew she would have to deal with it. And then, she thought. Lotus City.
((OOC-- sorry about the "one hour" thing, but I feel like if we keep dragging out the RP we'll never get to the city.))

(OOC: No, that was a good idea. We seemed to have hit a standstill there, we need to get moving again.)
Fenny bowed her head. Some of his injury was her fault, after all. "Still in shock, really. It's nice though. It keeps the pain at bay." Her wrist and ribs, which had continued to throb dully since the group's fight with the sharkworm, did not seem to be reaching her brain right now: it was if they belonged to someone else entirely. "You can still stand, right? I don't think they have healers in the city, but they probably have herbs and gauze and that sort of thing. They'll have you set right."

"Okay! Unless you want to be left in the desert..." A brash voice of a sandbender yelled from just outside the tent, "...you lazy bums better get up and get out of this tent!" Tent and ground below shook and vibrated enough to make enough Noa jump from sleep, most likely from crude use of sandbending.
Noa sat up with a yawn, "We're leaving already?" Despite the scenario Noa still actually debated if he should lie down for a few more minutes, but with some motivation with the grumbling of his stomach, he took his time to stretch.

"In an hour.." Abeni repeated and watched Saiki sadly. What if she got left behind again? Geming wasn't here anymore, and that frightend her.
Matsu walked slowly to the entrance of the tent. "I'm fine Fenny." He sounded tired, but Lotus City was so close, he could almost taste the freedom. Geming had been arrested, surely things would hopefully be okay.
Hati glared out at the tent at teh sandbenders. "Come on Noa! Lets go, they're going to collapse this on us." She tugged on his hand. "Lazy good for nothing peasent, get up!" She wasn't being serious of course.

"Hey, I'm already up..." Noa murmured, as he eventually got to his feet. Grabbing a waterskin he slowly headed lumbered out of the tent. The all the noise luckily made him less tired. Being able to stand up straight, he stretched his arms high with a yawn. "So do you want to meet up with the others?" Noa suggested to Hati, rubbing his eye.

"No, you're not." Fenny argued as she glanced through the edge of the tent flap at the sandbenders loading the sailor. "Really, you shouldn't-" Fenny's retort was cut short as the ground shook slightly beneath them. Geming! Frightened, Fenny stepped backwards into shadow, making her back into Matsu. The feel a big male frame behind her caused her to jump, and she spun around and stepped back again, in case the madman had somehow managed to get into their tent. But it was only Matsu: she just hadn't seen him get up and move toward the door. She tried to remove any traces of panic from her face.

Hati did not want to meet up with the others at all. Everytime she was with them, something bad happend. She was about to reply, when she tripped. Rashad had sprawled out in front of their tent. While Noa had somehow gracefully managed to avoid the man, Hati didn't. Her foot crashed into the middle of his back and she stumbled foward, slamming her knees into the sand. She let out a hiss of pain and then she glared at Rashad.
"Fenny..Fenny..calm down." Matsu said softly as he saw the panicked look. He reached out for her. "Its okay..Geming is gone."

Fenny just stood there for a moment, quivering. It had been a long time since another human being had attacked her, not since that raid on their caravan. She still had nightmares about that; naturally the whole thing from yesterday was still terrifying for her. With Matsu reaching out towards her, she wanted to tell him. Really, she did. Not just a defiant Oh-yeah-well-my-life-has-been-crappy-too, oneupmanship sort of tell, but actually let him know it really bothered her, since he was, after all, a friend. But then she remembered the city. The city, with it's moment of truth: Koda or no Koda. And then she, or they, would be off again to somewhere else, and friends wouldn't matter anymore. "I'm alright." Fenny brushed Matsu's hand away, "It just startled me, is all. We need to get a move on if we don't want to walk the rest of the way." Before Matsu could argue, she pushed the tent flap and stepped outside into the morning light.

Saiki did her best to ignore Abeni's gaze, instead letting her eyes wander over the nearly-packed camp. She watched in amusement when Hati fell over Rashad, a small part of her hoping that Rashad gained a few bruises in return for his bad choice of a bed. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Fenny emerge from her tent, then disappear back into it in a flash, only to reappear a few moments later. However, none of this could distract her from Abeni, who was sitting silently beside her. Her mind searched for something to say; a few comforting words, but she came up with nothing. Only the same thought running through her head. What am I going to do?

Rashad twiched as Hati had tripped over his sleeping body. He'd like to have been sleepy enough to not let a small motion like that wake him, but it did. On top of that, he felt the vibrations of the ground beneath him shaking, as if another sandstorm was coming, or perhaps someone was bending it.
Rashad yawned and sat up on his knees. Still tired, he calmly picked up some sand and let it slip from his hand, back on the ground. He looked to his side and saw Hati giving him a glare. He knew who she was but he was not in the mind to repeat previous grudges against her.
"Oh, hi Miss Hatuson," he said as he turned his head away and then back to her again, this time noticing Noa.
"You two have any idea whats going on?" He rubbed his eyes, fully snapping into reality.

Hey guys, I think you can start a new thread sometime soon, so proboards doesn't start eating up your thread here.
When you have a sensible break in the story, or short interruption just make something new and then I'll archive this.

Matsu looked surprised, and then hurt as his hand was suddenly brushed away. What was wrong with her? He had only wanted to help. With a soft sigh he dropped his arm and then stepped out of the tent also. He saw Saiki, and then the little child they had picked up sitting on the sand sailor. Seemed a good place to be. He gave Fenny a backwards glance and headed towards the sandsailor, he was sure she would follow him.
"What's going on?" Hati fumed as she stared at Rashad. She scrambled to her feet, trying to wipe the dust off of her. "You're sleeping...IN FRONT OF OUR TENT! Were you to busy being a moron to find a real place to sleep?" She scowled down at him unhappily. Her outfit was dirty and they were so close to the city, how would she make a good impression now?

Noa blinked in surprised by the whole moment of Hati falling and getting herself up. It wasn't until she started arguing that he noticed Rashad on the ground. He went over to Hati and put his hands on her sholders gently in hopes to calm her down, "It's okay Hati. I sure with the dwindling and everyone being anxious there weren't enoug htents made." He looked down to Rashad. Noa gave him a welcoming remark, feeling he owed it since he was guilty to how he had acted to the sandbender when he first met him. "We'er all just about to get on the sandsailor, we're finally going to reach the city today. I think everyone's in a rush to get there, so I guess it would be a good id to get on now in case anyone's left behind."
Noa tugged on Hati gesturing her to hurry to get on the sandsailor...more so to prevent her to continue her whining towards Rashad.
(OOC - If it's to wrap up this thread, anyone here can have their character bring Noa up onto the sailor)
