OOC- I didn't even try to be the first post this time "I really do not know." Matsu told Fenny as he took the water skin from Noa. He held it between his feet like usual before opening it and taking a greatful drink. "Thank you." Hati said with a forced smile as she looked at Noa. She wrapped her arms around Noa and snuggled into him, easily ignoring Fenny and her insulting comments. At least she had a man, unlike Fenny. Hati crept her a look that said exacty that too. Abeni looked up at her and then realized that her face was showing, hastily she clapped her hands over her mouth and shook her head rapidly. "No, thank you."

Fenny returned Hati's look with an arched eyebrow to imply her incredulousness. She really expected her to be jealous about a fool like Noa? Her shell necklace sat heavily on her throat, reminding her that her own love might just be over the hill. "I don't think they know either." Fenny commented dryly to Matsu, watching as some sandbenders argued over the packaged food outside of a tent. Perhaps some of them did not understand that they were only a day's journey from the city. Not all of them spoke the common tongue as well as their own. And the sand storm had screwed up everyone's calibrations. "We've got some time, at least." she sighed. She stuffed her hands in her pockets and turned away from their little group, walking a little ways over the sands.

Noa smiled contently as Fenny and Hati seemed be getting along much better. He looked down at Hati and asked her, "What do you want to do, Hati? We might catch a quick nap in the tent, or do you want to get ready and get on the sailor early?" Noa wasn't in any mood to complain or reject, though he did hope he could get a little more rest from the sun...and after eveyrthing that had just happened.

Matsu watched Fenny dryly before handing Noa back his water skin. "I'm going to talk to her, thank you again for the help." He bowed the best he could to him. "I apologize for the trouble I caused you." He said quickly before following Fenny.
"Rest sounds good." Hati murmured, actually sort of glad that food had already been packed up. She was hungry, sure, but that food was disgusting. Now she had a legitimate reason not to eat it, it wasn't there! "Maybe the swamp girl will get left behind." She muttered under her breath, she really didn't find Fenny all that great.

Fenny waited, having unconsciously slowed her steps until she had heard Matsu fall in behind her. She was so used to him being nearby at any given moment that now it felt weird to go off alone. She considered herself bitterly. Over the course of the trip, she had forgotten who she was and what she was doing, too caught up in the need to survive and the constant drama that seemed to follow the camp like steam on hot noodles. Her necklace pressed heavily on her throat now, a constant reminder. She needed to start separating herself from her friendships in the caravan. If she found Koda, they'd marry and leave for the swamps, and if she didn't she'd move onto the next city in search of him. Either way, she wouldn't be staying long, unlike the others.

A puzzled look appeared on Saiki's face when Abeni covered her face. A cleft lip? That's why she wears the mask? She shrugged, dismissing the thought. "Suit yourself. I'm taking a drink though." Saiki pulled her bag from her side to directly in front of her, resting it on the sand. She dug through it and quickly found her waterskin, but had difficulty pulling it out of the bag. Her hands moving quickly, she found the strap of the waterskin she had found on the ground just before Geming and Matsu's fight tangled with the strap of her own waterskin. Quickly, she untangled them, hiding the strange waterskin in the bottom of her bag. I had forgotten about that, she thought, taking a small sip of water. I wonder what's in it. Well, I could figure that out later, it doesn't really matter now. Saiki held the open waterskin to Abeni, silently offering her a sip.

Noa furrowed his brows at Matsu, "Matsu, don't all fancy on me." He pulled Matsu's shoulder up from the bow. Noa really didn't see any reason for Matsu to be sorry for. "Just get yourself relaxed. I'll meet up with you and Fenny when we get back on the sailor." With another one of his smiles he wrapped his arm tightly around Hati before heading to a vacant tent. Noa waved his hand and said loudly (loud enough for both Matsu and Fenny to hear), "Don't leave Fenny hanging all alone."
Noa breathed in deeply finally releasing all the tension. It was then that sudden relief that made him realize how sore he actually was. Noa was tired.

Abeni hesitated at the offer of water then slowly took it from Saiki, she had grown up in the desert, there was no way she would waste the water. She pulled her other hand from her face and took a drink then handed the water skin back to her. Quickly she yanked her mask back over her face. "I'm sleepy." She finally croaked out.
Hati kissed Noa's cheek, feeling the tension in his muscles. "Lets go lay down, I'll give you a back rub. I didn't work in a spa for nothing you know."
Matsu took a step back slightly when Noa had pushed him back up. "Don't leave Fenny hanging all alone". Of course he wouldn't, this really was all his fault. He glanced to Fenny tiredly, not knowing what she was thinking about. He wondered though, how long he would be in Lotus City before he could leave. He hoped that they were somewhere near a coast so he could board a ship and make his way home.

Saiki shoved the waterskin unceremoniously back into her bag, before looking down at Abeni. "Sleepy?" Around them, the sandbenders were loading the supplies back onto the sandsailors, preparing for the last stretch of the journey. Saiki spied the sandsailor that they had been traveling on, surrounded by busy sandbenders. "Why don't we go get on a sandsailor and you can sleep until we get to Lotus City?" she suggested.

(OOC: Please ignore the above post, it has been taken care of) Fenny closed her eyes as if in a headache and pretended not to hear Noa. If he only knew that was the one thing she didn't need! She made her way past the crest of a dune on the far side of camp, where at least no one else would show up to bother her. She kicked aside some sand in the downslope and sat down in the indentation, watching the sun set.

Abeni nodded at Saiki's mention and got to her feet, rubbing her eyes. "Is Geming going to be okay?" She whispered.
Matsu walked at a much slower pace, that last fall made his leg hurt and he followed her with a limp. When he saw her sat down he let out a soft sigh of relief, good, his leg was starting to hurt..along with everything else. He limped beside her and then sat down next to her. "You shouldn't have done that." He murmured.

Saiki chose to ignore Abeni's whisper. She didn't want to explain that Geming wasn't what Abeni thought he was. Instead, she took Abeni hand and guided her over to the sandsailor, swerving around all the busy sandbenders. When they reached the sandsailor, Saiki helped Abeni up and sat down in between two large crates of supplies.

"You were going to die. He had the obvious advantage." Fenny stared out into the dunes, not making eye contact. She drew her knees towards her and wrapped her arms around them, looking like little Abeni. "What was I supposed to do?"

Normally Abeni wouldn't argue, after all, arguing with adults was very very bad back in the tribe. But, they weren't in the tribe anymore. She looked up at Saiki, trying her best to look serious. "Whats going to happen to Geming?"
"Something that didn't involve you obviously firebending?" Matsu offered as he leaned forward, draping his arms across his knees and setting his chin on his arm. "You shouldn't...have done that.."

"Anyway, I didn't do it on purpose. That poison was affecting my control. I'm surprised it didn't happen earlier... I guess because I don't bend day-to-day?" Fenny mused, propping her chin up with one hand. "I don't know what to do now... Geming's going to be in the city before us, if he gets out... you saw how he went for me." Fenny tried not to think about that terrifying, animal look Geming had had while rushing towards her. Like a predator falling on it's prey.
