What happened to the old FOB thread? Anyways, they're my favorite band at the moment. Anyone else listen to them?

eeesh, Fall Out Boy is a very shallow band, their whole style of music is whiney cringe inducing awfulness, listened to by people who don't have the ear for truly good music.
Nobody respects fall out boy and i'm embarresed to come from the same city.

There ok in my eyes. What I dislike about the band is that they really don't have a lot of depth and half the time I can't understand a word there saying, but for some reason I still think there ok.
I like this ain't a scene its an arm race, but as a perfect example I have no clue what there saying, or what the title means. guess it's my problem I still like them.

I really love FOB! ^^ Although I love both cds "From Under the Cork Tree" & "Infinity On High", I do tend to prefer their sound on "From Under The Cork Tree" because it's more original I guess you'd say. They became a bit more pop/rock on the second cd.
I hate it when bands change their sound just because they become popular, and to me thats kind of what Fall Out Boy did on "Infinity On High".

I like them, but they're definately not my favorite. I think the best song of theirs is "Sugar, We're Going Down"

There's no doubt in my mind that they're a clever band. The title of one of their songs, "Champagne for My Real Friends and Real Pain for My Sham Friends," attests to that singlehandedly. But they're not consistent - they've got a couple of hits that you just know they made with the radio in mind, and the rest is pretty bland and has everything in common with every other one of their works. "They're so mainstream," is really cliché, but it fits them well.
