I love writing books, but, sadly, my computer is down so I've had to put it on hold lately(I'm using the computers at the library).

I write on loose leaf paper, then type it on the computer later.
It actually works better for me.

I do that too, because I can have something basic to start with and then I can add to it on the comp.

Yeah.
I feel bad...... one of my characters gets sick (like REALLY sick).
Poor thing looks like she's got bacterial pneumonia.
(which, btw, can be deadly)

I sometimes feel bad for my characters, especially the main girl of Daisanji. I put them all through so much pain. But if I treated my characters like friends instead of tools, my story would never go anywhere. : (

Yeah.
I yell at mine.
My teacher's daughter said I'm the only writer she knows that does that. People think I'm insane.

I love writing,it's like an escape for me sometimes. I used to write a lot more when I was 13 I still have stacks of notebooks filled cover to cover with crazy stories about all kinds of things. There was this writing contest at my school that I got into, the first prize is a $5000 scholarship, and I found out recently I got in the top ten finals. Not sure when they'll announce the winner but I'm really excited. A lot of my characters I feel so bad for the way I write about them, then when I'm trying to explain the stories to other people I get so into it that it sounds real...it freaks out my friends a little bit...

I love writing stories... I have a series of novels that are all around 120-150 pages each... and I have 5 planned. (the middle 3 are written, and #5 is in the works. still need #1) I even have a site about them, which can be found here(if advertizing is not allowed, please remove the link) like some others, I like writing on loose-leaf paper before typing it up, so I do that... and I grow really attached to some of my characters... and they usually get hurt, particularly the female ones... my story gets pretty violent... and a lot of my characters go through a lot of pain... no, I don't have anything against women... it's just in my story, which is a war story (fantasy), men and women do the same things... they fight and die together. in fact, out of the 110 characters I have, 55 are male, and 55 are female. ~Katara~

Wow that's a lot of characters. Some of my other projects are:
Pointe: Regan Rose Davison is the daughter of a French ballerina and her dance partner/ husband. Naturally, Regan is a dancer, too. And she's good. Better than good, she's great. Flawless. Perfect. She's an amazing student, too. A nerd. Only one person outside her family knows she's a dancer, her best friend Trevor - the son of her mother's best friend. One day, Trevor gets a girlfriend, who's told to keep Regan's secret just that - a secret. But she lets it slip. To the whole school. And when Regan's two perfect worlds collide, neither can be perfect anymore.
Shadow Maiden: Alexi has always been the lady-in-waiting of Princess Aza, and her best friend. But, one day, while Aza, Alexi, and Aza's twin brother Melkhem are riding - and Alexi and Melkhem leave to race - Aza gets kidnapped by the Dark Shadows, a secret organization thought to be extinct or just a myth. Melkhem and Alexi immediately leave to rescue her, risking being caught themselves. Legend tells of the Shadow Maiden, daughter of the head of the Dark Shadows and his noble wife, but none know who she is. She's the only one who can stop the Shadows for good, but who is she?
Promise Rings: Victoria's a Christian. And she's sworn to stay pure until her wedding night, but with a pregnant best friend, a struggling Christian boyfriend, and a mother desperate for a grandchild, is that even possible?
Diary of an English Mistress: It's the 1800s and Charlotte shares everything with a wealthy man - his house, his fortune, and his bed. But she knows she deserves better, and struggles to get herself out of the control of a man using her only for his temporary pleasure. Sadly Victorian England isn't very welcoming to a former mistress like Charlotte, but she's determined to make her living on her own - or maybe with the help of a man who loves her, a man who wants more than her body and an action every few nights.

I have 5 projects total... it's all part of my series "The Crest of Zabutur" #1: Koldia's Days of Downfallnot much about this book is known, except that it will feature some of the characters that are on the older side in my later novels... #2: The Koldian and the Queenthe interesting thing about this book is that it is also a book written by one of my characters. it appears as an actual book in some of the later novels. it is written up, but has not been typed at all. #3: The Princess of KoldiaThis one was the first one I wrote, and the main characters of this novel are my mascots in a way. this novel is virtually complete. I am in the process of ultimately finalizing it. #4: The Secret of the KoldiansThis one has been all typed up, but is still undergoing expansion and finalization. this novel features some of the children of the mascot characters, but also them as well. #5: The Glory Days of KoldianismThis novel is still being written, and focuses on a lot of the characters... maybe even all of them. I am not sure if this is the end of ym series or not, but at the moment, it is. oh, and here's some pictures of my characters as Gaia avatars... and I name them off. =B clicky!so yeah... that about sums it up. (P.S. see if you can find the blind girl in that picture) ~Katara~

Since school's started for me, I'm starting A Blemish in the Pearl, but I haven't able to get the laptop permission sheet thing, so not only can I not be able to work on it at the library, but also the process will be slow. =/
Eh.

I'm "stuck" to my one project (mentioned earlier)... and when I say "stuck" I mean, I haven't been dioverted...
of course, I've written an 100-page fanfic before... (avatar-related... haven't posted it here) and that sorta diverted me a while... ~Katara~

I'm always getting distracted. Right now I'm also working on a book based off a fanfic I wrote. I de-fanficed it. Changed character names and backgrounds and such and turned it into a book idea.

that's what I do... I've written so many fanfics and other random ideas that I use them a lot...
I mean, a lot of the names I use for characters in my fanfics are either anmes based off of characters from my novel, or aer taken directly.
incidentally, I had a character named Katara, and that was before I knew about avatar. I have no intention of changing her name unless it's copyrighted or something though. ~Katara~
