Dave Barry is a Pulitzer prize winning humor columnist who started out writing for the Miami Herald, but his columns have been published in over 150 newspapers, so chances are you've heard of him. I've been a long time fan of his, always searching through old columns online. Just recently I read his book "Dave Barry's Greatest Hits", which is a collection of columns he wrote in the '80s. I seriously found myself laughing out loud on numerous occasions. Right now I am reading his book "Dave Barry Slept Here", which is a kind of sort of history of the United States.
The first book I ever read of his was "Peter and the Starcatchers" a novel prequel to Peter Pan that he co-wrote with Ridley Pearson. I also read the sequel "Peter and the Shadow Theives", which was good, but not as engaging as the first. I think the third book in the Peter trilogy is due to be published soon, if I'm not mistaken.
Dave Barry is also a member of the band "The Rock Bottom Remainders" which includes Stephen King, Amy Tan, and Ridley Pearson.
So, discuss this humorous Floridian!

I used to read his column every Sunday, when we got an Atlanta paper (yah, my backwoods hometown will not allow us to cultured) But my dad has all of his books, and I especially enjoy any column about his dogs...one was a chihuahua, I believe?

I'm actually going to be writing my research paper on his style. I think he's hysterical. My mom saved a ton of his articles & we have the book Dave Barry Talks, plus a few more that I can't find.
