I went to see the Nancy Drew movie yesterday. It was really good. I expected it to be different and less violent than it was so it turned out great. Has anyone else seen it?

I guess Emma whatever from Unfabulous found something better. Unfabulous was a horrible show.

I haven't seen Nancy Drew, and I'm not sure if I really want to. As a fan of Nancy Drew books, and from what I saw in the previews, the movie kind of pales in comparison to the books (the movie looks more like a comedy that your typical Nancy Drew mystery).
But then again, I've watched an old Nancy Drew movie, and it was good.

Personally, I'm a little disappointed. They've made Nancy to be some OCD, awkward and weird teenager. That's not how she is. I suppose maybe I'm just thinking about it too much. But if the mass majority of people say it's good, I'll consider watching it.

And I always thought Nancy was older.

^I think the original Nancy Drew was written to be 16, but then they made her 18...for whatever reasons. I guess because she was traveling a lot and had all this free time, but it would be like February and it's like...why isn't she in school? If she's 18, it could mean she's already graduated. I guess. xD

It was a simple movie that had a good twist and was believeable...I think she not OCD or whatever attitude you see in her cause that the way I would picture to be that way. It just that her brand clashes with today style that the american teenage girl wears.
Granted just like Potter, I haven't pick up a fictional book cauase non-fiction is my thing

I thought it was okay. However, I don't remember Nancy having a younger brother. lol And I thought ND takes place in the 30s-60s?

The books take place in the 40s.
The movie makes it look like she's some WWII girl who lives in the present day. And that's totally not what the books are about.
Plus, in the books she gets kidnapped, like, all the time. And her life gets threatened at least five times per book.
