I haven't seen the Godfather movies, though of course I have to eventually. I can't imagine how the Star Wars prequels got on the list, or Planet of the Apes. Not that I dislike any of those films, they're just so far beneath the running for greatest movie ever. I voted for Star Wars IV-VI, since they're the best thing on the list (though I haven't seen many Bond films, my cousins would probably vote for them). I dunno, I think as a general rule all polls should include "other" as a choice. I might say "The Incredibles," though I'm also quite fond of "Real Genius"... that one I definitely think isn't in the running, though. "Serenity" was also pretty dang awesome. And I dunno, there are countless possibilities. If we're just talking about personal favorites, that really has little or nothing to do with "greatest movie ever," which is a more objective term... and really, there can be no objective greatest movie ever, because movies are art, and all art is subjective.
I think too much.

Star Wars winning? The WTFage blows my mind It's most influential, without a doubt. But in terms of cinematic greatness, the Godfather wins. but, of course, Star wars is winning because it's all anyone's seen.

Star Wars' script makes me hurt inside.
Its just characters tossing little lame quotable phrases back and forth. ><

The only redeeming quality Star Wars 1-3 has of not sucking as badly as they did was Mr. Jackson. He should have quoted Bible passages and slashed everyone in a fit of great vengeance and furious anger.

I love Pulp Fiction! ;D Not that there was much to choose from, but I choose Star War IV-VI just because they have made the greatest impact on American pop culture.

I've yet to see Scarface. I'm so very anxious to.
What hurts me as that there are no Bruce Lee movies. Granted, they don't posses high block buster numbers and profits as other films, Bruce Lee movies are the epitome of epic.

Nope. Not my jurisdiction. You'll have to take it up with one of the higher mods. Sorry.
