I can't wait to see Spider-Man 3. My only problem is with Venom, sure he's great in the comics but in the movies he just doesn't feel right. Venom is just too out there as well as his character isn't the most complex villian created. The Spider-Man movies have always been a little far fetched but it's down to Earth and has a possibility of happening in real life. With an alien costume that binds to people, it just takes away that down to Earth aspect. Peronally I think the inclusion of Venom in the movie will prevent Spider-Man 3 from being better than Spider-Man 2 (which I believe to be the best super hero movie ever).

(And so does Sam Raimi) And theyv got the whole multiple villains thing going on too, which i dont like the idea of.

Tobey said he was keeping his options open for a 4th contract. So you saw it, firephoenix? Good to know it was awesome ~ did you get to go to a midnight showing? I was considering doing that. edit: nvm, from the timestamp on your post, you got to go to a sneak preview, huh? *likes midnight stuff*

Some people said it was awful, but I don't believe them. The Spiderman movies are like the best comic-based movies since the original Superman. I'm seeing this like tomorrow, so I hope it rocks.

I went to the midnight showing, and I thought it was very good. Really dark in comparison to the first two. (I cried at points; I'm such a sap) Unlike most of the critics, I really liked the emotional aspect of this movie. One of the things I've liked about the Spiderman movies was the personal aspect. Many movies based on comics I've seen have focused mainly on the caped superhero beating the crud out of bad guys, with little else in between. With Spider-man you have a characterd that you can really relate to, experiencing things many of us experience. I can't believe it got panned so badly! The Pioneer Press gave it only one star. One! Even though there were flaws in the movie, it deserved MUCH higher than that. One thing I think they should have done was devote a whole separate movie to Venom. He was just kind of squeezed in there among the rest of the storylines. Making a separate movie would have given more time to maybe explain how the venom got to Earth in the first place (The meteorite just kind of...plopped down there out of the blue). And there would have been more time to develop both Venom's and the Sandman's individual stories. Still, I thought the movie was very good. It had kind of a...final feel to me, so I don't know if there will be any more sequels. I hope so, though.

I just watched it and, it was okay, not excellent, just okay. I think it commits the same mistake that was done in X-Men 3, they want to do too much in a short amount of time, I've never been a fan in multiple story lines in a movie, it's really hard to do. It works on TV, but it's very difficult on a film. Anyway, back to the film. Like I said, it was okay, but I felt it was too long, and sometimes too slow. And, there's not enough Venom -I wanted more Venom- Three villains it's too much.
Nevertheless, I did enjoy the film, it's fun, the plot it's actually good -though they abuse of the coincidences that populate the comic world- and the fight scenes are incredible. But this film could have been a lot better. Well, at least it's better than Spider-Man 2 -which I dislike-

Eh... Just saw it too. Too much... "stuff." I felt 1 & 2 were great. Admittidly, they had plenty of "suspension of disbelief" moments but I thought they always managed to pull them off them in somewhat passable ways. This just had too many big leaps of logic that anyone not familar with the comics wouldn't be able to fill in the blanks for. Plus too many characters... Too little exposition for them all. Everything about the Venom arc felt seriously tacked-on. Fun action scenes though. The toys will look great. Plus Bruce Campbell's cameo in this one is awesome.

I just got back from sm3 and it was pretty good, not exceptionally amazing
It felt like there were too many villans, come on 3 in one movie that sort of overloaded the movie and dragged it along a little more than it should've. But the story line was good so it wasn't that bad
lmao I loved emo! peter XD

Fun action scenes though. Aw, but i dont want fun. I want a primarily personal movie with fight scenes in it, like S2. Im so disspointed and i havent even seen it yet.

(SPOILERS) I just came back from seeing it and I'd give it a 7 out of 10. The action sequences were excellent (9.5 out of 10 for the special effects ) but the dialogue and some scenes were very cheesy. Some of the scenes were very strange. For example, when Peter's personality turned downhill his style changed. Redoing the hair and making it seem darker overdid it. The entire audience laughed at that scene. There were a lot of villains which did hurt the movie a bit. They could have easily cut back on at least one villain and revolve the movie around that. . . . . . . . My favorite part was when Harry helped Peter. The audience clapped at that scene.

Ha, I went to see it yesterday, thinking it wouldn't be so packed. We arrived at the theater at 8:20 PM, going for a 8:45 movie, (getting there early to get good seats) when we find out that all the tickets were sold out and the earliest movie available was at 9:45!!! Couldn't believe how popular it was. Well, I can't believe that critics were so harsh towards the movie. I also noticed that the movie didn't get a really loud applause in the end. Hey, at least it was better than POTC 2 people (seriously, the only reason people like POTC is Jack Sparrow, without him, it's nothing)!
Sure it's a little cheesy at bits but it's an awesome movie! Excellent computer graphics and fight scenes, Peter's character is still interesting, some scenes were irrelevent and a lot of characters were extremely calm during the scenes where people falling off of buildings... but Harry was the best (even though he's a villian). The ending was very emotional, (I'm such a sap) and I almost cried.
