Pretty much a person having an affair is thought to be untrustworthy, ironically I don't think there's many people that find politicians to be trustworthy to begin with.

Thought Id revisit this once contested non-issue now all the campaigning is over and let Iroh have the last word: "Pride is not the opposite of shame, but its source. True humility is the only antidote to shame."

Vultures. So many vultures.
Context is everything, but you will not find it in any journalists dictionary. Ive been ashamed of my country before, in the same manner that you would be ashamed of your son/daughter getting a bad grade in a class. You still love them to death, but what the hell happened?
But journalists dont know that, lets say for example, Obama is giving a speech. He says "this is a great day, not a cloud in the sky" someone might pick that apart that Obama is praising the fact that WHITE clouds are gone. You shake your head at the thought, but you know very well that it could happen.

See, I don't think it was fair to hurt Obama's campaign in the polls because of his wife. I think the president's spouse should stay as far away from politics as possible unless they have a job that requires that. Or atleast if they would be able to talk about politics and have news reporters care even if their spouse wasn't involved in politics.

This was similar to the degree when Will Smith said, "Even Adolf Hitler thought he was doing something great." And the next day, the reporter blew his statement out of proportion and purposely misinterpreted the sentence.
Everyone, even the Jack Russell Terrier reporter knew what Will actually meant. But people just want to find something wrong with someone who seems so genuine and good. It's one more result of people who need to get a life.

Don't forget the mother of all statments taken out of context: "[The Beatles] are more popular than Jesus now."
In any case, this is hardly relevant now since the election's over. Sombody plz L&T this thing.
