What Fire Nation guy? I have to rewatch season 1 chapters.
I'M READING IT! I'M SORRY! I COULDN'T HELP IT!... Maybe I'll stop in the second page.

^^ I think sometimes shows can get away with more early on than they can later, because nobody's paying that much attention to them. They probably couldn't get away with that now. Maybe they just thought it was so quick that it wouldnt matter. If they showed a whole scene of Jet dying, it would have been a little much... And it was such a minor person, too, that it didn't really make much of a difference.

@everwen: Watch the Jet episode. It's right at the beginning after Sokka, Katara and Aang happen upon a camp of Fire Nation soldiers.

I oddly enough, just watched "Jet". Yeah... the guy sorta goes face forward gasping for air, and then his eyes roll in the back of his head. He could be unconscious, but I didn't see an arrow. Embedded in his back? Deep? Like... in his lungs?
I read the spoilers earlier xD It's not like much happened that I didn't already expect to. It's the first episode - usually just a basic filler and launch for future things.
So if you don't read it, you aren't missing out on much. Just some nifty pictures to filter through for mishaps.

Well it seems to me that if one of the main characters was going to die we'd have to see it on screen. I mean, I know this is a painful thought but it's a theory that's out there, imagine Zuko making the supreme redemption sacrifice in the end and having it just be implied. That would be seriously lame.

If they didn't let it through, they could always release an "uncut and uncensored" version with that scene in it >.< ...kidding.)

Just end it with Zuko dead, after he sacrificed himself. >.< That would be so horrible.

Then people could choose whether not they want to see it and share it with their kids if they think it's not too disturbing. WhiteFire: That's exactly the scenario I'm talking about that would be so lame. I mean, show us the body so we know for sure what happened. Aang wouldn't even say that Jet was killed by Long Feng. He only said he was brainwashed, like that was worse! Nick needs to lighten up.

If it was absolutely essential to the storyline, they'd let it through. Didn't they have to change Jet's death a bajillion times? I'm pretty sure they said that in the commentary for Lake Laogai.
And something interesting (and non-spoilery) that I noticed in that review was a picture of Aang's lightning wound. It actually made me go, "Aw, geez..." Looks pretty darn painful. A bit more graphic than what was expected from Nick.

Now Zuko and Aang can match! Scar Buddies!
Though I do agree with you. A bit hard to look at... though if you look really close you can see some bunched-up flesh/blood vessels that looks like a little person ^^
I'm sorry... I have an incapibility to be serious. It is quite gruesome and Aang has to carry it around for the rest of his animation life ._.

But is still healing, I bet Zuko didn't look that good either after what daddy dearest did to him, some time had to pass so he would look like the hottie he's now.

And eventually he doesn't have the bandages on anymore, according to the trailer. You know something weird? I don't think Zuko would be as hot without the scar.

I'm not a Zuko fangirl, amazingly o.o -mob forms- I am a Toph fangirl however, like 90% of the Avatar population xD -kidding-
But yeah, I do agree that Zuko's not hard on the eyes >.> He probably looked worse than Aang does since it was right over his eye and such... blood vessels and scar tissue, charred flesh... ugh. Now I've put the image in my mind o.< Not to mention the fact that his vision is (most likely) non-peripheral. So he pretty much suffered.
Aang has Katara to work on it. Maybe it'll shrink xP
