Kalidasa looked around at the inside of the Eastern Air temple with a hint of proud satisfaction in his gaze as he surveyed their work. It had taken some time to get the area cleaned up - a century of dust and debris had proved to be a challenge even for their formidable group of hosts. They'd had to reschedule when it had turned out that there was more than just a bit of straightening up to be done. Still, he thought the improvements had been worth the delay.
The temple itself was clean, the floors scrubbed and shined until they gleamed. The columns and walls had received similiar treatment before being decorated in a most unusual fashion. They'd enlisted the help of Huu to bend the water in some live plants brought to the temple for the occasion - having him wrap and wreath the columns with flowering vines. Lanterns were hung from the ceiling and placed at strategic locations to give the entire building a soft, warm glow.
He'd considered it a very clever move to bring some of the Northern Water Tribe members as well - they were bending water to make decorative waterfalls in certain areas. He'd tried to steer them clear of being too close to the food or the lanterns - and where that couldn't be avoided, there were lanterns with fireflies ringing the areas - their pale white-blue light becoming diffuse in the mist and giving the place a hazy, vaguely mystical feeling.
Platters of food were placed on small tables at varying intervals throughout the temple - some were piled high with decoratively arranged fresh fruit or raw vegetables. Others were laden with pastries and Aang's favourite egg custard tarts. A large glass bowl was filled to the brim with rich custard while a tray with rice balls that were artistically decorated with the Airbenders' arrow patterns was hanging from some woven vines.
Some distance away from the sweets, a griddle was set up and one of the waterbenders was plucking fresh fish from a pool of water created and filled with all manner of sea creatures for this occasion. Both grilled fish and sushi were being served, the cooked fish wrapped in wide green leaves or placed on carefully crafted stone plates (courtesy of some rather grateful earthbenders) and the sushi draped out neatly on trays made of smooth ice. Strips of cured fish and seal jerky had been carefully worked into swirling shapes that were reminicent of both airbending and waterbending moves and were placed on another of the hanging trays, available to everyone.
A small fountain made of ice had been set up off to one side and was filled to the brim with sweet fruit juice. One of the waterbenders was maintaining the flow of it while another was chopping and crushing fruit which was being thrown in. A third was stirring and scooping the juice into cups using a large ladle made of ice. There was no cactus juice to be found at this party, although the troubadour did have a small jug of fruit-based alcohol hidden away just in case anyone might want something with a bit more kick.
"I think we're just about ready to begin," He commented, crossing his arms as he took a last glance around at the preparations. Even the entertainment had been procured - there were some musicans settled slightly to one side of a wide open area that was slightly away from the main hall - it had been cleared out for dancing and was ringed with more of the lanterns. There was also Chong and his nomads hanging out inside on the opposite end of the building and playing a few of their own made up songs to the Waterbenders at the juice fountain.
"Perfect!" Kalidasa declared. "Let's bring them in!"

thelastavatar walks in, and whistles at the nice job everyone had done cleaning up the air temple and decorating it. "Hi," he said. "Let's get this party started." Pulling out a sungi horn, he began playing music.

Power upon his entry into the temple gazed in wonder at the spectacles before him. He awed in delight at the wondrous food creations and the marvelous works of art laid out before. Kalidasa, Power cried out, I thought Aang was supposed to be here? I guess he is still healing. Let me help myself to this Air Temple fruit shake while I wait for the others.

"He'll be here," Kalidasa assured, a little smile on his lips. "But at the moment he's just a bit busy with the attentions of a certain waterbender with healing abilities. He'll be as good as new when he comes to the party - perhaps even better." He grinned at his own words, then looked over to where thelastavatar was playing the horn. The music had attracted the attention of the nomads and they crowded around TLA, chattering enthusiastically.
"Nice playing," Chong complimented, "Do you know the song about the secret tunnel?"

“Well. Color me impressed.” said Ana quite awe struck. Everything seemed to give off a peaceful feel, somewhat like the feeling she got when she visited the Sky Castle. A hundred years of debris cleaned away and lanterns hung all around giving the room a, as mentioned before, peaceful glow. “Let’s just hope the rest of the party can live up to it.”

The Goddess entered the temple, a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a basket of vegetable and bean curd puffs in the other.
"Good evening, friends. I brought some puffs. Aunt Wu was kind enough to give me the recipe."
She looked around and smiled. The place looked lovely. She was certain the guests of honor would be pleased.

"Actually Chong, I do," replied thelastavatar. "But I need some more people. Mind being my band for a bit? And could someone get me a frut shake, and a plate of strawberries and watermelon?"

ZukoxMe walked into the temple. Her long orange and blue dress gleamed with her glittery shoes. Her hair had been specially made for the bash, since her long brown hair was temporairly dyed with orange and blue tips to match her outfit. She smiled. The temple was so beautiful, the only word to ring in her mind was- Kataang. A perfect bash to the perfect couple. This was going to be a great bash.

Grand Fire Sage enters the building wearing his Fire Nation armor and red cloak. "Good evening friends, and part-time foes. I invited some other friends, hope you all don't mind.".

Kalluwen entered quietly and surveyed the scene before moving to the griddle to look at what was available. Deciding to be adventurous he chose to have some sushi, which he ate while watching TLA's performance. Finishing his meal he walks through the crowd and sits next to TLA and pulls a flute from his robes to begin accompanying the other musician. His flute's low tone was still cheery as its notes floated away on the wind chasing the horn's own plaintive notes.

Kalidasa smiled at Ana, looking more than a little pleased with himself. "I'm glad you approve. It was no easy task, but if anyone could manage it, well..." He took a moment to preen, "It would be me." Noticing the looks he was starting to get from the Waterbenders and Earthbenders who had helped out, the storyteller deflated just a little and added hastily, "With a great deal of help from many talented people." That said, he quickly darted away from the crowd to greet Amira.
"Amira," He bowed from the waist in a manner that was both elegant and somehow silly. "It is wonderful to see you attending this humble party." He purred, "Can I take those off your hands - they look and smell very delicious!"
Chong laughed at that question. "Well, of course! You can be part of our band for a bit, isn't that right?" The rest of the nomads made noises of assent.

Random Battery wandered alone into the party, feeling splendidly in the mood for a good time. She twirled her hair around her index finger apprehensively and scanned the room, looking for a few familiar faces.

"Grandfire, as long as its a sort of cease-fire and no one tries to take the Avatar to Ozai, its fine. Kalluwen, always good to have another musician," thelastavatar says. He gets up to grab a quick drink and a small plate of food for later to eat before continuing playing.
