Name: Lee Takae
Age: 17
Nation: Earth Kingdom
Bender: No
Appearance: Lee is tall, about 6 feet, lean and wiry. He has dark brown hair, almost black, that he rarely does anything with, and as a result is wild and shaggy, hanging over his eyes and down the back of his neck. His eyes are his most vivd feature, as their brilliant green is striking to those who see them. He has a fairly handsome face, not particularly special, other than the eyes. His lips are full, and his mouth is creased with laugh lines. Lee's body is on the thin side, muscled, but not huge. He has large hands and feet. Lee usually wears a simple earth green tunic and pants, and well worn shoes.
History: Lee grew up in a small Earth Kingdom village. He spends his days helping his father in the family's restaurant, or running around the village with his sister, Jing, who is 15, and best friend, Moko, 17. Lee is a good archer, and practices most days with the help of his sister and friend. Jing is an aspiring Earthbender, but her skills are only mediocre given the lack of a master to teach her. Moko is skilled in the use of twin daggers, and he occaisionally spars with Jing and Lee to improve their ability. Lee hears about the war from a traveling merchant, and at first is content to stay within the confines of his home. But Jing wants desperately to fight, and begs Lee to help her find a master to train her. Lee eventually consents, thinking that perhaps he could offer his services as an archer to the Earth Kingdom army. Lee's parents aren't happy about their children leaving, but they agree that Lee and Jing's gifts would be better put to use in the service of the Earth Kingdom than playing around town. So, Lee and Jing decide to head to Omashu to find an Earthbending master for Jing. On their way out of the town, Moko meets up with them and decides to go along.
Items: Lee carries a map of the Earth Kingdom with him, along with food and a water skin, in a small bag he carries on his shoulder. He also carries his quiver and bow. The bow he recently made to replace the one his father gave him when he was young, and is of rather low quality, but serves its purpose. Lee's arrows are also hand made. He also carries a small dagger for close combat in a sheath on his belt.
Personality: Lee is generally easy going and fun. He rarely gets angry, but when he does, it can be frightening. Most people who meet him are surprised to learn he has such a bad temper. He is all about having fun, but also knows when it's time to get serious. His sense of justice leads him to conclude after he, Jing and Moko leave their home village that the Fire Nation has no right to invade other nations, and that he is doing the right thing. He is also very loyal to his family and friends, and considers it his duty to protect his sister as they make their way to Omashu. Once Lee sets his heart on something, he refuses to give it up, unless there is no other way.
