Name: Shinasha Norinoko
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Nationality: Fire
Bending: Rookie/mediocre firebender
Other skills: Expert bowman, mediocre swordplay
Physical Description: Athletic, average height (4'10"), Chesnut-brown hair, usually in a ponytail or braid halfway down her back. Dresses in black, often supplemented in browns or dark-reds. Hazel eyes, and a light skintone.
Character: Outgoing, sometimes commanding. This has got her into some trouble before, but she is independant and resourceful enough to get herself out of that. Highly values personal and family honour, but knows that this honour can bwe found in many ways.
Background: Although native to the fire nation, Shinasha was actually born in the Earth Kingdom city of Omashu. Her father owns an international trading company, and he and her mother constantly traveled the world in order to find new suppliers and buyers. Near the end of her mother's pregnancy, Shinasha's parents settled in Omashu for a while to make sure the birth went without problems, and the first couple of months of her life were in Omashu. After that they moved back to the fire nation Capital, where Shinasha's parents owned a small estate just outside the city. They stayed there for some nine years, and Shinasha attended a school for girls where she was taught wat all fire-nation girls her age should know. Shinasha didn't really like the school; she preferred to be out in the countryside, playing or just walking.
After those nine years had past, Shinasha's father had an opportunity to set up a business and some contacts in Ba Sing Se, and the family came along. For nearly six years they stayed in Ba Sing Se. Shinasha grew up to be a smart and demanding young girl, and her parents - eager to comply and keep her happy - usually gave her what she wanted.
It was in Ba Sing Se that she met her first and (up to now) only boyfriend; a young earthbender named Ling Su. It wasn't long after she met him that her fire-bending talents were discovered; she had got angry at her parents when they said she shouldn't spend that much time with Ling Su, and accidentally threw fire at them. Luckily her father - himself an experienced bender - had managed to avoid any harm, and the arguement was quickly forgotten. But this discovery was the reason for her parents to move back to the fire nation, and Shinasha - only fifteen at the time - had to come along. Back in the fire-nation she was sent to another upper-class girls school, where she would be trained in the bending arts. There she prved to be adventurous; something she had picked up in Ba Sing Se where she would often sneak out of the inner walls and hike the vast plains inside the outer walls of the city. It was this adventuring spirit that led Shinasha to study Archery, and she found she enjoyed it a lot. She wasn't particularly cood at it, but she quickly reached a reasonable skill level, and over the years improved to an almost master archer. Ofcourse she had other studies too; fire-nation history, politics - stuff like that, but she was never truly interrested in it, and was often found skipping such classes.
At age nineteen she finished her studies; now a master archer and decent firebender. With the knowledge from school she was quickly employed by her father, who let her help in the book-keeping and other administrative duties. Over the years he had mentioned marriage a few times, hoping she would marry a smart and wealthy young man who could take over his business after he passed away. Shinasha had always laughed such comments away, hoping it wouldn't come to an arranged marriage...
Opinion of Upcoming war: She's never had any political interrest, but the thought of fighting in an actual battle seems thrilling to her. Although the fact of severely hurting people isn't new to her (Agni-Kai and stuff like that), she is unsure about actually killing people. But testing her skills against hundreds or thousands of others is an exciting thought to her.
Considering the fact that she's been around most other nations, she hopes the world won't change too much because of it. But the future will prove otherwise...
