Well, I've only RPed a few times, so I'm just gonna give it a whirl...mainly because the "Info/Updates" thing at the top said to. xp ;D
Name: Aoi (Meaning: Blue)
Age: almost 14
Gender: Female
Nation: Fire Nation/Water Tribe
Bender?: No.
Physical Appearance: Aoi has black hair that she keeps up in a simple bun, pale blue eyes, and fair skin. She is slender and short, and wears a dark crimson kimono with a black obi and the regular geta(s). She has a normal, oval-shaped face, and, being a teen, is beginning to suffer from very mild acne.
Weapons: A dagger and bow and arrow, which she is only a bit skilled at. She's been trying to practice with two broad swords, but her talent at it is below mediocre.
Personality: Aoi is stable, calm, dependable, and patient. However, she's been pampered her whole life, and she's incredibly spoiled, possessive, lazy, and materialistic.
Aoi has been sheltered most of her life, so when around other people, she can be a bit hyper, or over-polite. However, she's been trying to "train" herself to be calmer and bit more "rude". She craves attention, and most of the time, when she does something nice, it is for praise from others.
History: Aoi is the product of a rape. Her mother, an anonymous waterbender, was entering the Fire Nation for trade purposes, when her father, an unknown Fire Nation soldier, molested her. Nine months later, Aoi entered the world while her mother was still in the Fire Nation, and because of this, the waterbender quickly took advantage of abandoning the infant on the streets of a small village.
Fortunately, she was brought into the care of a young Fire Nation soldier, Eiji, who had been walking to the house of his fiancee when he spotted her.
His fiancee, Manami, hesitantly allowed the child into her home, but she promised her soon-to-be husband that she would raise the girl before he left. She called her Aoi, for her blue eyes.
Eiji served in the army for five years before he became ill and was sent home. When he recovered a bit, Manami and Eiji wed, and one year later, a little boy, Daichi, entered the world, only to leave it a few h ours later.
One day, Manami took Aoi out to a lake for her seventh birthday, as it was the girl's request. When Manami finally decided to give the water a try, she enjoyed it, and even dared to dive off from the cliff that dangled above the water. However, that certain part of the lake was not that deep, and the young woman ended up breaking her neck and being paralyzed neck down for life.
Because of this, Eiji's older brother, Tatsuo, a nobleman, offered to house them, and they moved in immediately. Tatsuo has a son, Ichiro. Unfortunately, Manami died soon afterward.
Since then, Aoi has been trained in the ways of a young lady, and surprisingly, doesn't hate it at all. She enjoys reading haikus, but doesn't write them, and spends most of her time either in her room or in the garden.
Overall, Aoi has had a generally happy life, growing up in a rich household.
Opinion on the Upcoming War:[/b] Aoi basically doesn't care, although she feels badly about it and doesn't like the idea. However, her Uncle is for the war completely, so she has kept her mouth shut for the most part.
RP Example:[/b]
A curtain of ebony hair veiled her face as she dipped her head, leaning closer towards the weathered pages of the book in her hand. The flame of the candle next to her danced faintly, tongues of fire licking the air before she put it out with a swift puff of her breath. Closing the book, she set it on her end table and snuggled into her sheets, breathing deeply as her cobalt eyes flickered across the room, darting from the dark shadows of the different chairs.
Exhaling sharply, she reached her hand across her body and slid it across the back of her cat, Kyo, fingering his jet black fur delicately before leaning over and plopping him into the nook of her arm, cradling him as she gazed into his vibrant green eyes. His pupils were expanded completely, and he studied her own eyes and face before squirming around in her hold. As soon as he began to wiggle, she released him from her grasp and watched him as he leapt from the bed, figure fading into the shadows where she knew he would stalk the bird and mice of garden.
Eventually, she drifted off into a light sleep before waking up in bolt a few hours later.
She felt moist with sweat, and sighing, she whipped the covers from herself and swung her legs over the side of the bed. It was still dark, but on her bed she could barely make out the figure of Kyo, resting silently on her sheets.
Averting her glance back in front of her, she got up, grabbed her book, and quietly slipped out of the room.
The cool blades of grass soothed and tickled her toes as she padded soundlessly through the garden. A pool of moonlight flooded the grass, filtering inbetween the branches of trees in patches of silver light. Stars sprinkled the dark Firmament, and the white globe of the moon lay cradled in wisps of grey clouds.
Making her way around the different cherry blossom trees and weeping willows, Aoi eventually stood before a little pond. The girl approached it and, sitting by the edge, rolled up the pants of her jinbei and slid her legs into the cool liquid. Taking out her book, she swished her legs around in the water as she read, line after line, haikus. The words ranged from that of love, sadness, scenery, joy, death, and war.
She stayed there most of the night, flipping through the pages of the book before she slipped off into slumber, eventually waking to the sound of birds chirping and the sight of the sun, and in realizing this, she hastilly made her way back to her room.

I know, it's really crappy and really short. I apologize! >< DX
