Unseeing Eyes-A Random Poem About Toph

I'm at a writer's workshop. I don't normally do poetry but since I had to...

I was born into a world of darkness,
My parents worry constantly,
Because my gray eyes are sightless.
But I've never had a problem seeing,
Every movement rings through the earth,
And shivers through my feet,
Showing me what I cannot see.

My parents never could understand,
That my weakness is my greatest strength.
I literally listen to the earth beneath,
To see what it has to teach me,
But the sound of roaring cheers,
Is my favorite thing to hear.

I fought at Earth Rumble Six,
Until my parent discovered my double life.
They wanted to lock me up,
I protested & even shed a tear,
All to no avail, so I ran away.
I'm going to see the world,
With my feet anyway.

I really think this is a great little poem! You've pretty much captured how Toph feels about her life and her parents. Good job!
