And I still think Zuko's warrant is going to be changed from dead/alive to just dead. I heard somewhere that that's what the creators said would happen (don't believe me though... I don't remember where I found it...) , so obviously Zuko would have to betray the FN in the end, if that was to happen.

Gosh I was so worried how Zuko was so how shall I say; perky? It seems so un him. But then seeing that betrayal made me feel so much better.
I just know that somewhere in the third season he's gonna betray Azula.

I still don´t see the episode but, Azula always look down at Zuko, she always belive that she´s smarter and powerful that him so he maybe could use that t his advantage she probably belives that he still wishes to go home whatever it takes (maybe is tru maybe not) so if Zuko is a little smarter he could use that, stick with Azula nad then just pofff betray her xD, but like y said I still don´t see the episode (i´m donwloading it 50% more to go )

At first I thought he really did side with Azula here, but after reading what other people have said, I'm starting to find some holes in that thought.
I hope this _was_ all some sort of ruse set up by Iroh and Zuko.

I love from what I read around here, that people were betray by Zuko's action and that they still have hope for him to do good.
I do see a big sibling tag team with Azula and I do think it will last longer then people are giving credit.

I think Zuko is more on the side of the Fire Nation than Azula. I get the feeling he's a real patriot at heart. ^_^

I've heard this quote from so many places, and I'm pretty sure I saw it in some convention report/interview/etc. before, but I can't seem to remember where it came from. If anyone can remember and link to it, I'd be very, very happy. ^_^;

I think he is really doubting what he did and will help Iroh and try to kill azula.
We will find out in the 3rd season. Yay

We forget Ursa... Zuko's supposed to be looking for her next season. Zuko did tell Katara the FN took her away from him, so I really don't know what he thinks of the FN right now, or his family... Personally, I doubt Zuko's really on Azula's side. i think your right. maybe its one of Iroh/Zuko's little tricks. He wouldnt just betray Iroh... iroh has been, well his father for so long now.

I don't think it's a trick. I watched the end of the epi again and he's really trying to get Aang and Katara. He breaks her water whips when she's about to beat Azula. And he seems to feel shame at betraying Iroh.
I think he's screwed up and kind of a dim bulb, but not truly evil. As I said on the epi thread, I don't see how anyone could forgive him though...unless he gave his life. Or unless he betrays Azula in a huge, risky and public way.
He was essential to what Azula did to Aang, so it's going to be a long road to redemption.

I don't see why would Zuko ask forgiveness.

No one said anything about Zuko asking forgiveness. More like an outright and public betrayal of Azula... Or dying a sacrificial death to save the heroes, the world, or both. Or all of the above (betrays Azula, then soon dies to save the heroes, the world, and everything). There is also the grim possibility that he never gets redeemed, but that wouldnt make much sense at this point. Why all the development toward the good side, then nothing?

Well I rewrite: why would he do that (betrayal, outright, etc.)? I see no developpement towards the good side but more towards himself. Zuko's on his own side now, no longer looking for what people want him to do (Ozai, Iroh) but more about what HE wants. That's an improvement.
