I think Zuko's Destiny is to end the war... ', hey don't look at me like that! -_0' I sorta agree with that statement. I don't think that Zuko is going to defeat Ozai and end the war while Aang is off just having fun. I think that Aang will be the main person to end the war but I believe that Zuko will play a crucial part. Zuko has really changed since season one and kyatto explained that very well. I don't think that the creators worked so hard to plan out Zuko's character development if it never really had a point just for him to accept a simple live as a refugee in Ba Sing Se. This is why I think he will become Fire Lord some day. I believe that he will help Aang defeat Ozai, I'm not sure how close their alliance will be (if Zuko will join the Gang before they go to the FN or not) but I think they will see that the both have a common goal. Like others have said I expect Zuko to be a peaceful leader who will help restore balance to the world. He has seen what the war has done to the world and I think that his reaction to seeing this will make him as Iroh said it "the beautiful prince he was always meant to be". I believe that he was always meant to help end the war, that everything that has happened to him since the day he spoke up for the soldiers in the war room has been buildup for this.

I think Zuko's Destiny is to end the war... ', hey don't look at me like that! -_0' ^ I agree We all know Aang's destiny is to bring balance to the world, but nothing is said about ending the war. Maybe it's Aang's destiny to "balance" Zuko and to put things into perspective for him (which he's done simply by existing). So, Zuko could be a major factor in ending the war.

I still think Aang will fight Ozai, but the problem is that Zuko needs to give him a fighting chance. So perhaps Zuko will keep the guards occupied while Aang takes on Ozai

Couldn't have said it better myself... I think, in the end, Zuko's battle (after his internal struggle is over) will be against his sister. It's up to the Avatar to take down the fire lord and I think Zuko will accept that. His sister, however, still represents all that broke him down in his childhood and I think that is one battle he won't be able to avoid. His sister won't let him avoid it. If Zuko does choose to stand beside the Avatar, she will want to kill him herself (and Ozai will be all too happy to let that happen). We shall have to see....in any event, Zuko is a complex, dynamic, character which is what makes him so compelling. Can't wait to see what happens in the finale!

He has to choose his own destiny I hope they keep Iroh alive and he takes the throne. Iroh deserves it, not Zuko, and I believe Iroh would be a better firelord than Zuko.

Zuko is no longer my favorite character. I am very upset with what he did in the episode. He was so so close to becoming good. But all that went down the *** drain.

Zuko betrayed his uncle, he listened to Azula and now Ba Sing Se is under the fire nation. Now that I look at it Zuko DESERVES his scar Worthless garbage that needs to die.

Well here’s my little own thought right this minute about the wonderful plot-twisters and so forth. The people who now have no respect for Zuko, please ‘Shh!’ a little for one second and here me out.
We all knew more than nothing Zuko has always wanted to be accepted by his father and be apart of the Fire nation which is his birth right and so forth. Zuko was still at war at himself and just overcame it barely after the dream, I believe that maybe if a longer time period could have been set aside with out his sister’s influence he could have been ‘good’, But I’m not sure I want that.
Zuko seems awkward, ‘good’.
So he actually thought as about it which shows some change, and the fact that how he acted during the fight and at the end. I believe he was surprised with his own self. Maybe even ashamed. I think Zuko could still play a part in helping Aang eventually in some way by the end of the series. Maybe meeting his father again he’ll remember that this is not what he truly wants and will go for forgiveness.
Not to say I wasn’t crying with sadness when he betrayed his uncle. I was lie, ‘No Zuko’ But I realized one thing…
Why do we love this show so much?
It’s because the character’s aren’t ‘flat’ but ‘round’ in their personalities. It’s because the unexpected, the love the ties, the heartbreaks, and the betrayal as well.

Right, but I am hoping Zuko does next season.
He has been through a lot this season and he should have learned...
Now the only way he is going to learn is if Iroh kills him, as Zuko doesnt deserve to live as far as I am concerned.

I thought Iroh would die and that would open his eyes at first. But I still have faith for Zuko...

I agree with you about what you said there; everone speculated including myself that Zuko might be good and the gaang, but I like how the guys who make Avatar made this plot twist. I think he's still at "the fork in the road" he's confused at what he has done.
