Sokka is cool but I like him being goofy in season three because he doesn't have much for fighting except for the sword. At least he has comedy now on his side.

I like Sokka in general. I like how M&B balanced out his leadership, responsibe side with a more sarcastic, laid back side. I like both sides since the leadership thing is something I find inspiring, for me an inspirinf leader, and the sarcastic funny side becasue I love to laugh!

The thing I noticed about him throughout ht ewhole show is that his personality changes. In oe episode he woudl be mostly serious like in Jet. There are times he's Way to serious like in the Fortuneteller. In some episodes he doesn't seem to be much of a fighter like for example in the first epi he never laid a hand on Zuko. In the epi Jet he woudl hesitate and do this weird yell that is really a yell but like a dramatic yell/scream. Infact he's better at being a stategist than a fighter which becomes noticeable in future episodes. As for the creativitiy part I never really noticed until the Sokka's master. He has definitely had a lot of hilarious moments especially in the episode The Dessert. That was histerical I laughed like a Hyena for a long time.

I like him in general. I love his moments of seriousness such as planning and trying to mature and I also love his sarcasm. Gotta say the time I was most grateful for his hilariousness was The Desert. Without it, that episode would've been more depressing than it already was.

Again I went with the majority. All aspects of Sokka's character are vital to the show. Aang comes close to being on par with Sokka's comic relief.. but not quite. Sokka is also great for coming up with plans, no matter how much the rest of the Gaang wants to discredit him. And when it counts, Sokka is that morale boost that is so desperately needed for the Gaang to tread on. How could anyone not love Sokka as a character?

I didn't really see a "different" Sokka throughout ; just a developing character in which we got to see facets of his personality as the story progressed.

I think I prefer Sokka in season 1 or 2... IMO, they overdone a bit his goofy-ness (sp?) in season 3. IIRC, Jack DeSena had his own input in Sokka's dialogue and therefore in his character too. He really made Sokka his own which I appreciate when a voice actor has an interest in doing so - it shows how much they like that character and want to give the best for fans. The point being, I chose Sokka in general.

I just love Sokka in general he's just such an easy character to love. I do have to agree with what Shimura said though: I didn't really see a "different" Sokka throughout ; just a developing character in which we got to see facets of his personality as the story progressed. I don't think we saw "different" Sokka's we just got to see all of his personality as we watched him grow through the story.

The Sokka that is essentially the leader of the clan. The Sokka who is mature yet goofy at the same time. The Sokka who takes charge and comes up with the ideas and plans. He's the leader the gaang needs and he's the leader the gaang deserves. No matter what Katara says.
