Anyone watching this? I think I can actually find some similarities between this show and Avatar.
So far, Tin Man does have a few script parts which feel a little weak, but overall, I think it's not so bad. A little cheesiness doesn't hurt. I actually like it. It's like a shoujo story with Oz.
The Avatar/Tin Man similarities:
1) Evil Sorceress = Fire Lord - both want world domination/power. They already have power but they want more.... She also knows how to be manipulative like Azula.
2) DG is like Aang, the hope for saving the world. Both characters make up their own small rebellion team.
3) The word "twinkletoes" is actually mentioned by Glitch. When I heard that, I instantly thought of Toph. Also, Glitch did some karate action on the guards which surprised me.
4) DG is on a quest to find her true mother much like Zuko would be looking for his own mom. Unlike Avatar though, we at least know where DG's mother is.
Edit: 5) Oh my gosh.. Eclipse! O.o What the... I swear now. Whoever made this loose adaptation of Tin Man was watching Avatar!
6) Wanted poster with the DG gang.
The tune of "two little princesses dancing in the woods" or something like that actually got stuck in my head.
As for Part 2 reactions:

The witch actually did shock me a little when she was looking at herself in the mirror in her bedroom. I mean, when her true self appeared. The other thing I can't quite fully comprehend would be how you would make holographic illusionary staircase for DG to be in in order to make her feel like she was actually going down the stairs. The outside tabe and chairs were the real aspects of the illusion.
