And that's an interesting theory about Charlotte. What makes you think that? Well, Dan clearly cares about her, leading most people to think he has romantic feelings for her, but they could be the love of a son for a parent. And she has memory loss and physical problems he's been trying to help her with. And he's been dealing with time travel for a long time, and if Ms. Hawking is his mother, she clearly has been as well. My theory is that something went wrong in her own studies in the past that have, while they either put her young self in the present in the form of Charlotte, or else her older self started de-aging, Benjamin Button-style, but either way, also gave her the problems she's experiencing. Which is perhaps what prompted Dan to start studying temporal science in the first place, to help her.

It's really weird that Ben is more of a person now. And faaabulously dressed at that. I personally liked the show having Ben as a major villain (or hero?) more than the seemingly normal character he's becoming. There's something special about Michael Emerson's performance that make Charles Widmore, Ms Hawking, Abaddon, and Richard just less interesting in comparison. As for Charlotte, I don't really think she will end up being all that important, at least not to that suggested extent. I'm guessing Faraday will be much more relevant than her throughout the story.

I thought Dan's feelings towards Charlotte were romantic, but I could be wrong. I never thought to think otherwise. It would be interesting if she was Mrs. Hawking, but I really hope no one de-ages. I hate that whole concept. I can deal with time travel, just no backwards aging.
Ben had always seemed on another level than the rest of the characters. Kind of like Dumbledore or Voldemort. They're at an unattainable level of knowledge and skill that just makes them so much more special than everyone else. When there's a good guy like that, it makes you feel safe and sure that they'll succeed, but now that Ben's more human, it feels like he's going to fail at getting them back.
On the subject of his clothes, it was so great to see him in black. He's always worn light, neutral colors and the black looked amazing. I never in a million years thought that I would find Michael Emerson in character as Ben attractive, but I caught myself thinking that when he was talking to Hurley. And I don't like that because he's supposed to scare the sh!t out of me, not look good.

Well Hurley had to go and be duuumb and ruin everything. I was surprised at the end though not just by the TWEEST but by the fact that Ben was encountering a situation he didn't know how to overcome. Also, does Sun know that Widmore sent the freighter?

Is Sun becoming like evil in the 'future' or something?! I love her and everything, but she seems like she has some kind of dyabolical plan.
NEW EPISODE TONIGHT!! w00t w00t!

I think future!Sun is pretty awesome, actually. It does look like she has some kind of evil plan. The whole part where she met with Kate just seemed like she was planning something and everything she said wasn't really sincere. I'm excited for the new episode. The promotional photos are pretty interesting.

Missed today's episode, I'll watch it later tonight. But does Sun realize that Widmore sent the freighter? If she did know I'd expect her to hate him a good deal more than Ben.

I think she must realize it. I can't quite remember when they originally found out, but when the Oceanic Six were on Penny's boat talking about how they had to lie, Jack said something about Widmore having sent the freighter to kill them, and Hurley asked Penny if she could just call him off. She was there for that conversation, so she must know.
I really don't think she's working with Widmore just to kill Ben. She knows that he's mostly responsible for Jin's death, so I think she had some kind of plan in mind when she told him they both wanted to kill Ben.

So she definitely knows about Widmore then. What I want to know is if Locke visited her off the island and told her that Ben killed Keamy, blowing up the freighter. That's the only reason I could think of why she blames Ben. But why would he tell her that? I wouldn't think that Locke would want her to hate Ben. Unless she's really working with Ben and wants Widmore dead.....it's hard for me to understand her motives right now. It seems like they're leading us on so that we'll be shocked by her actions later.
Jughead was so good, even though I thought the whole Jughead thing was unnecessary, but it'll probably come back later when we learn more about the energy and radiation and everything on the island.
Teresa seems to be doing what Desmond and Minkowski were, so why hasn't she died? Minkowski didn't have a constant, so he died, and Desmond did and was cured. So what happened so they can't stop it, but she doesn't have a brain aneurysm?
I watched The Lie at 8 with the pop ups on the bottom and it said that Mrs. Hawking's first name is Eloise. Then they introduce a girl named Ellie.
I wonder why Widmore is off the island. I'm thinking that he must have been exiled for some reason or another, like wanting to exploit the island or maybe when Ben came to be their leader and thought that they should get rid of him (or Jacob wanted it). I loved how Widmore didn't think Locke could possible track him either.
And did Locke get the compass back before the flash? He still needs Richard's help so they're either going to meet him in the future soon or be in the past and need to gain his trust again - and not having the compass would be a problem.
Penny's labor scene sucked. It was really weird the way she was moaning and then the baby came out so quickly. I don't see the reason they included it at all - I don't think anyone would have freaked out if they had just introduced Charlie as 2-3 year old 3 years after the rescue.
The thing that's been bothering me in these last episodes is how only the main characters stick with other main characters. When it flashed back to when Jack and Kate had to leave Jin, there were a bunch of people running around with life jackets. Then they keep killing off background characters on the island because if they killed a main character off there, we wouldn't have anyone to watch. I know they're not going to start to bring forward background characters like they tried with Nikki and Paolo, but they should do something to make all this a little more realistic.

I don't know why Locke would have told her about Ben killing Keamy. His goal is to get everyone to come back to the island, so presumably he's working with Ben (or at least they have a common goal). Other than Locke telling her, I don't think there's any way for her to know that.
Yeah, I don't think introducing Ellie around the same time they introduced Dan's mother was a coincidence - Ellie seems about the right age to be Ms. Hawking, who everyone seems to think is Dan's mother anyway, and now they have similar names.
I totally agree about the background characters all getting killed off. It's not like they really served much of a purpose, but it feels kind of weird with only the main characters around on the island. I don't think it's unrealistic so much as convenient - I'm willing to suspend my disbelief, since realistically, if they killed off a main character in the same way as the background characters (fire arrows, explosions, etc.) it would just be incredibly lame. But at the same time, if nobody died, it would also be incredibly lame. But it's still kind of awkward with just the main characters.

I hope not. :/ That would be so sad for Des and Charlie. So the last bunch of episodes haven't really been as shocking as usual. Almost everything in 316, The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham, LaFleur, and Namaste was expected. 316 was kind of obvious. They all went back to the island. Duh. It's not like Kate was going to refuse to go back and just not be in the show anymore. I had much higher expectations from the Locke episode. His conversations with all the 6 were almost boring. And Helen either is going to play a bigger role, or her dying of a brain aneurysm is a red herring. I'm hoping for her to come back or it will feel like wasted time. Walt better come back too. LaFleur was good. I always wanted Sawyer/Juliet but thought it had no chance at all. ^_^ Let Jack and Kate whine and feel sorry for themselves and avoid problems together. Where's Daniel?! I love Dan. I like Miles more every time though. It'll be cool seeing Others and Dharma people we know already in the past. Like Ben, Mikhail, Chang and Ethan (I still can't imagine him as a little toddler. XD He's always creeped me out more than Ben. He was the first Other we saw, so he'll always be special. ) I'm hoping that these last episodes have been set up for something really awesome. I'm sure the season finale will be. Haven't been disappointed in one of those yet. Jack yelling "We have to go back Kate. We have to go back!" still gives me chills. /dork

Hey, Nymph, that's a darn good question. Where IS Dan?! Ever since they went back to 1977, he's been a no show. In fact, the last time we saw him was when the red haired lady (sorry, forgot her name:P) died. So, what happened to him?!

I'm thinking Dan went crazy and is off on his own trying to find a way to get Charlotte back alive. And he'll come up with his plan and it'll be whatever he was doing when we first saw him in the premiere of this season. That will cause "The Incident" and we'll see it in the season finale......cause it's called The Incident. But I'm psyched for next week's Miles episode. That should be awesome. Still nervous that Ben gets out of the water and shoots Penny or Charlie though.
