Seriously, Zuko does not have to join the gaang and become bestest friends with Katara them to become a good guy I don't remember anyone saying that...? >.< (Totally my bad if someone did say that recently) There's more than one way for Zuko to be one the good side, but getting along with the Gaang is certainly a good way to go about it. They are the leaders of the good side, after all.

Uhh. Thats not why I'm invested in Zuko. I've seen so much put into his character, to just see all of that thrown away for a bad decision really disappoints me. I know quite well that Zuko doesn't have to join the gang in order to redeem himself. Sorry if it seemed that way.. haha. I know that Zutara more than likely won't happen. Is it bad for me to hope? I

At this point, I could care less if Zuko stayed on the bad side or not. All I ask for him is to get over his broading. If he keeps that up, I might have start calling him princess Zuko.

You mean "brooding," I assume? "Princess"? Brooding isn't admirable, but it's not wimpy or unmasculine. And he's a teenager; wallowing in your own self-induced misery is par for the course. Surprising (in a good way) that he and Mai spend so much time doing that on their own, but not when they're together. At least neither of them is perfect and sweet one second and ready to bite your head off the next, like Katara.

You are right about the brooding, but Zuko does it way too much. (and no action to go with it.) I hoped that he would have settled down after getting everything he wanted, but he may have actually gotten worse. I'm still waiting to see a change in his attitude. Spoilers removed.Okay, I'm done talking about Princess Zuko's problems.

Zuko fans expect to much from his character, don't know why Sasuke from Naruto think he's a lost cause and Zuko's redeemable.

Mainly 'cause the creators of Avatar have implied that Zuko is on a redemption path, and have layed it out in the series. Now I guess that they could all of a sudden go, "Fooled ya! He's totally evil and makes Azula look like Mother Teresa!" But then I would send an angry letter right on down to Nick studios.

Well even if Sasuke is a lost cause, he has qualities that makes him a likeable guy. (Plus he doesn't whine, he actually does something about his situation.)
Zuko on the other hand has no qualities that would make him a likeable character. (by qualities I mean: intelligence, power/strength, etc.) They shown throughout the show that he will eventually be redeemed, I just hope that his redeemption is worth the disappointment that has been his story in season three.

^ I'm down with that! haha Maybe they have something really good in store for his redemption... That is, if they made plans to redeem him

Zuko has no qualities that would make him a likeable character. (by qualities I mean: intelligence, power/strength, etc.). Persevering, determined, implacable, resourceful, brave (rather face any enemy than run away), merciful and kind (whether it's to people who should mean nothing to him or his arch rival), and skilled in stealth (enough to break into not one but two "impenetrable" fortresses), Firebending, and dual broadswords. Now, he's not a people person, he has anger issues, he's been selfish, and he's incredibly foolish. Nobody's perfect (except Katara and Aang). Realism is harsh.

So, now that we've all seen Nightmares and Daydreams (I hope! ), who do you think would make a better girlfriend for Zuko? I can't really decide. I think both Katara and Mai would be good.
