Jin and Zuko had a moment, they had their night, but not all teenaged relationships last forever anyway. She had her fifteen minutes of Shipper Fame, and I enjoyed them thoroughly. More than one girl with potential as a ship is standard for anime, anyway -- it's how you get a Love Chart.

"Maikos.....what are you guys doing on our ship?" lol j/k Like you said, not all teenage relationship will last forever, I'll give Maiko til at least episode 10, give you guys the benefit without a doubt. There's only one woman in Zuko's life and that's HIS MOM!!! But, hey the second place is free game, Maiko, so tough luck....I'm sure Zulee has a much better luck than you guys...HAR..HAR...lol okay I'm done teasing... Anyways, I just read the comic... yeah Maiko scored a point, but the ambiguous scene skip from the throwing demonstration to the alleyway seen is left for further speculation. I mean Zuko and Jin could of talked for for those couple of seconds.
I mean Zuko also did say Mai was a "friend," so hey in Jin's mind he's still hers, anyways the only reason why Zuko decided to go back to the fire nation wasn't because of Mai, it was because of Iroh. I mean I'm sure if Zuko were to stay at BaSingSe, Zujin could of flourish a little more.
Anyways, don't seem like Maiko will last long. Have you seen the YTV sneak peaks, and Zuko is going to venture out again for the second half of the series searching for his mom, and Ba Sing Se is still left at the hand of some Brainwashed Lady, I'm sure some event will call him back to the Earth Capitol.
So Zujin still has a chance, even though it may not be as good as Maiko, its still something to cling on to.

I'm a multi-shipper, ya' know, and firmly adhere to the lesson of Mystery Science Theater 3000: "It's just a show. Just relax." Jin is one of my favorite matches for Zuko.

Speaking of the comic about Azula choosing JOO DEE of all people, why not choose Long Feng? o.o Anyway, ....*sigh* Looks like Maiko's gonna happen...>_> I still can't believe Jin hasn't figured out Zuko's Fire Nation!

LOL, I know its just a show, but you see, I don't have enough drama in my life. (THATS A GOOD THING), so its fun experiencing it (mock drama!!)
Oh and the critical tantrum is just merely me trying to support my side during a debate, lol I can't help sounding serious or critical, I was selectively raised by my history teachers, they just like teaching me how to debate.

Anyways, I just read the comic... *snip*spoilers!*snip* So Zujin still has a chance, even though it may not be as good as Maiko, its still something to cling on to. The thing I like about Jin is that she's so joyful and chill. She also seems like much too reasonable a girl to believe that a guy who was forced to go out with her on one date by his uncle was "hers." Particularly when selfsame guy ditched her in the middle of the date, right after she finally kissed him, and then made no effort to contact her ever again. And if that wasn't enough to assume that she doesn't envision herself having any real claim on Zuko, the fact that the next time she sees him he's walking around town with some random hot chick who he subsequently goes chasing after when she frolics off through the streets of the city would probably be a deterrent to it as well.

What?!
I don't see how anything I said is adding reasons Jin is a Mary Sue.
The idea of Jin being a Mary Sue is pretty ridiculous.

The fact that she's extremely calm about meeting "Lee" again, she just popped out of nowhere, she didn't seem offended at Zuko's outburst on their date.
...I'd avoid the guy if it were me. lol

Calm down, I'm just repeating what I read around here and at TV.com. o.o
I seriously don't mind Jin's reappearance, but I THOUGHT she'd be a bit more...I don't know...not calm.

And I don't really get thinking that Jin wouldn't be calm. She never struck me as the type to throw a fit about anything. Also, you have to take into account what narrative purpose was being served by the scene. There wasn't any focus on Jin's emotional state (i.e. no big blow-up or real addressing of how Zuko ditched her) because it wasn't really about her. She was a catalyst to present something about Mai and Zuko and how they relate to each other.
