Welcome to Horyo's guide for and dealing with "Noobs."
Sponsered by Grandi Corp.
Now we will first learn what a "noob" is; a "noob" is usually a member who acts or behaves in ways which the more experienced memebers find pathetic.
Other members should know, Noobs are humans as well.
Noobs should know, other members might or might not have patience for your antics; so if you try hard enough you will learn the ropes.
Noob mistakes.
1. Major, double posting. Triple or even quadrouple.
For Noobs at DH, there is a modify button at the top right hand corner of each of your posted comments.
For peopel dealing with Noobs, do not yell, scream, or holler, noobs might be trolls, but simply tell them to "not double post, only modify." And alert an admin/mod.
2. Using l33t and bad grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Noobs: Try not to be lazy and substitute words with shorthand keys.
LIK3 ZOMG!!!!1!!!! I JUST GET THE B00K ON...
Issues?
Do not put numbers in place of letters.
Do not let your finger get lazy and drop the Exclamation point (!) to a one. (1).
Do not have as many exclamation points until you are more welcomed.
Try to use the best grammar, spelling, or punctuation you have. In this case you need the past tense.
Words like "Lol" and "(Z)omg" are usually allowed if they are used by older members and their use is not discouraged.
Members simply tell them, "dont' do that it makes you look illiterate and idiotic." People who want respect from other members will change their posts or their habit.
3. Reposting a topic.
Noobs, try looking a few pages deep, like five. If you cannot find it, then post it. Otherwise two separate topics might confuse people.
Members, tell noobs that it has been posted and alert an Admin/Mod.
Everyone has a different personality, or different personalities, and habits.
Noobs, if you see your personality is negatively affecting another, repent and aplogize. Then try to be more cautious with habits, (i.e. cursing, smilies etc.)
Members, try not to be offended too much this is a friendly place, even in debates, you should know that they might not know better, and try to help them fix it. Simply put, "I'm sorry, but that offended me." Or something along those lines.
In addition to thus said above, our Sponsors would like to leave a(n advertisement) note.
As an additon, I'd like to say.
This forum has spell check.
If you need info about a certain subject go to www.wikipedia.org
If you need to find anything, try www.google.com first.
If you need to see episodes www.youtube.com is your best bet. Or www.Avatar-Episodes.com if you want to download them. But it takes a bit of work. Or try www.bittorrent.com for downloads.
Oh, and www.thoughtburrito.com is the awesomest website ever. Know it.
More will be added.
