A mirror. One of those full-body kinds. 'Cause Azula's true love is herself.
I have this strange inability to see her with a male character. Because the show is broadcast on a kid's network, there's no chance of her getting with a girl... and I'm not sure she'd want to, anyway. To me, she appears asexual. She's the only main character who's never shown an interest in either gender.
Though, if I had to choose... Suki or Katara, I guess. Then again, I doubt her capacity to feel affection or even attraction.

I've said it before....Azula has a swirling black vortex of pain and terror in between her legs.

Isn't she already in a threesome with Mai and Ty Lee? There's got to be a reason they hang around with her...it's not for her sparkling personality...

Koh would be suitable for Azula.

Well, this is a bit of a complicated question. Do you mean who will she end up with, or who should she end up with. Realistically, Azula will probably die at the end of the series, either killed by Aang or, perhaps by Zuko. If she lives, the fighting will likely never end. So, in this scenario, the answer to your question would be "nobody." However, if you are wondering what sort of lover might be ideal for Azula were she not fated for death, I have a couple of thoughts. Not to disparage the merits and undeniable appeal of a hot and sweaty orgy of girl-on-girl action, I think that Azula/Suki might be a bit heavy for daytime television. I would have to say that any man who could be considered for a romantic relationship with Azula would likely have to be kind and a bit more passive, as a lover who is just as belligerent as Azula would likely clash with her over control of the relationship. However, he must also have enough strength of will to stand up to Azula, as she would have no respect for a doormat, and a relationship in which one partner consistantly takes advantage of the other is typically a relationship doomed to failure. Also, the man in question would have to be a capable bender, as I cannot imagine Azula being attracted to a weakling. Whether he be a firebender, and Earthbender, or a Waterbender is unimportant--what is important it the bedner's courage, willpower, and facility with his given element. With this description in mind, there are few characters in the show who would match this description, while remaining in the appropriate age bracket for Azula's desired lover. So...I'm not really sure. Haru, maybe? I'm drawing a bit of a blank. I haven't seen the series for a while.

If Zutarians can claim that 'opposites attract' and what not, then so can Sokkla shippers.
Azula NEEDS to end up with Sokka. Yue and Suki are boring, and Ty Lee is annoying.
XD
Sokkla all the way.

. . .Azula is too evil to have a continuing relation ship. She should stay single.

^Thank you, Kanasha. That was brilliantly said. She is? If anyone is a lesbian, I should think it would be Azula... though I maintain her asexuality. Isn't she already in a threesome with Mai and Ty Lee? There's got to be a reason they hang around with her...it's not for her sparkling personality... But I'm starting to lean to this view more and more...

I think SokkaXAzula is the most interesting of all the pairings out there for her. It has the same complications as Zutara if not far worse because Azula really is in it for power and she is her father's golden child. I do support ZhaoXAzula and one sided Long FengXAzula. For some reason it is easy for me to see her with far older men. I do not see any pairing with Azula as ending happily but with Sokka I can't help but see a moment of last minute redemption before death.

I don't really want to see her with anyone... Most "evil" characters rarely end up in relationships because they are too flat, and because Azula has (or seems to have) the potential to be a well-rounded character it would be that much more interesting if she never fell for anyone. I've seen way too many cases where the power-hungry and manipulative characters are rounded only through the "magic of love."
...That, and I like the illusion that Azula is above such desires. Could just be me.

Iliun I don't agree. Her personality goes far beyond our comprehension. Sure on the outside she's appears as perfect, attractive, stubborn, conniving, controlling, arrogant and insane.
But like that old saying goes, looks can be deceiving. I'm sure Hidden deep inside of her blackness, she's a kind, gentle, understanding, caring, apprehensive and humble person. So with that being said, she would most likely end up with Sokka.

My comment on “flat” characters was meant to be a comparison, not an insult towards one of the more rounded villains I’ve seen in any animated show. That being said, I admit it’s possible for Azula to have that cushy personality a lot of people want out of their favourite villains, but I also believe she can be her own character without love balancing her sadism. The point I was trying (and apparently failed) to get at was that pairing her up with anyone would, in my mind, make her a little dull.
When I compare her relationship status to those of other TV bad guys, I see something slightly different that makes her independence and outward personality more endearing. Most villains don’t fall in love or show their good sides because half the time they are rejected, and nobody would ever fall for them. My perception of Azula is that she shouldn’t/wouldn’t end up with anyone because she doesn’t want to, because the cushy personality doesn’t suit her and not because she fears rejection.
If I over-thought your reply, feel free to disregard this one.

Well you can not really compare Zuko to Azula. Zuko is human and Azula...is something diffrent. I do not really know, if she is shippable. I always suspected her, Mai and TyLee having some sort of masochistic love interest in each other.

My perception of Azula is that she shouldn’t/wouldn’t end up with anyone because she doesn’t want to, because the cushy personality doesn’t suit her and not because she fears rejection. For this statement alone, I'm awarding you your first karma. Though I agree with you as a whole, that particular comment beautifully sums up my perceptions of Azula: she doesn't want to be with anyone. I'm curious as to why this possibility seems hard for the fandom in general to accept. I see Azula 'shipped everywhere and can't help but wonder why. Unlike the main characters ( and even some of the minor ones ), she has shown no interest in anyone. People like that do exist; there's nothing at all wrong with them. They are satisfied living in permanent singularity, and that's the vibe I get from this girl. Unless she's shown pining over a love-interest in Season Three, the argument should be viewed with the same validity as that of the 'shippers.

I heartily agree. Azula has never shown any interest in changing...ever. She's never shown any sign of remorse or regret. So how do I know it's not deep, deep, deeeeeeep down? She looks happy. She attempted to murder Iroh, Zuko, and Aang, with a smile on her face each time. That's nto a loving personality.
Also, we've seen a flashback of her at like 7 years old, and she was just as evil and twisted then. I don't see how she could possibly have developed a decent character by the age of 5 or so and then have it overwhelmed by what we saw in Zuko Alone. Not everyone who's mean has a good soul deep down; plenty of them just don't care, and don't mind being that way. I think that's what kind of person Azula is.
