^Then define "crackship" please. If it is possible, then it's not a crackship. If it has a snowball's chance in the FN, then it is a crackship. Besides, you can't bash one of the biggest fanon ships out there & not expect to be met with arguments. How was Dylan0513 bashing Zutara? He merely said it was a crack ship which by some definitions it is. To me, a crack ship is a ship with small canon support, if it has support to begin with, and a snow ball's chance in the Fire Nation at happening. I think Zutara's fandom is too big to be a crack ship but going by that it fits the bill.

Yeah, I'm not bashing Zutara and I did expect to be challenged on this, xD. I think a crack ship is a ship with no canacal (is that a word? XD) support. Zutara fits that definition. Again, igoring possibility or not becuase I don't want to get into that now and there is room for opinion there.

You know what? It all depends upon your definition of a crackship. So I'm finished with this argument. I'm sick of having to explain again & again why I believe that Zutara is not a crack ship. If you consider it a crackship, fine, that's your opinion. But trying to convince someone that it isn't a crackship is a no-win situation either way: you won't be any more convinced than before & I'll be exasperated from trying to explain it over & over. So if you consider it to be a crackship, fine. But remember, even if it is a crackship, it's a serious crackship, not one created for amusement or boredom. So be careful about claiming that there is no evidence or support in the show...because we Zutarians can get VERY aggressive & protective when it comes to defending our ship. EDIT: Guys, I'm tired, & I'm sorry if I'm coming across as...well, you know the word . I apologize if I've offended anyone...

Yes, we know how much you guys defend your crackship, xD. Yeah, it depends on definition. If there was a set definition there would be a true result.

I say we drop this discussion. This thread was created to joke about our favorite crackships, not to start an argument. Some consider Zutara a crackship. Some don't. Those who don't get offended when they hear their beloved ship called a crackship. Just leave the serious fanon ships alone, & we'll all be alright. As a truce, I pass you an official Zutara cookie. Peace EDIT: Sorry, Power. *dropping discussion*

Those who don't get offended when they hear their beloved ship called a crackship. I really don't see why that would be offensive but... whatever. To move onto something less touchy, I’ve noticed that Jet is part of a lot of crack pairings (Jet/Azula, Jet/Mai, Jet/Yue, Jet/Aang, etc.). You think that’s because his character was big enough to work with but not enough become a total fandom favorite?

To me, Zutara completely read as a crackship prior to the S2 finale, which is why I was utterly confused that all the 'It's gonna be canon!' that I saw was flung around fandom at the time. Afterwards, it stopped being as such, but looked more like it was going in the direction of a friendship (a 'nakama-ship' in certain ways, for those experienced with OP fandom). :throws in two cents:
As for Jet... I'll chalk it up the 'Minor Attractive Character Shipping Syndrom'. I've seen it happen in other fandoms where a minor (usually male) character who doesn't have a huge role in the overall plot but gets a lot of fic/ships because he's pretty/sexy/has a sexually-suggestive tattoo on his face... Zuko sort of has it as well (and not only does Zuko have a load of crackships, but is paired off with Sues so much that you wondered why he's not ded from sex already) but it's more of a 'Nice/Long Hair + Muscle + Facial scar/tattoo = PRETTY MAN' equation, which has pretty much always worked from what I know.

Has anyone said Meikoh? I like that one too. It's better than Kohla because Mei is so emotionless that Koh would be rendered unable to steal her face.

(*Throws away cookie* And Power, I don't see when this ever got snippy.) The best crackship ever is truly Katuki. ;D ;D ;D XD

I also agree that Zutara is a crack ship. But such is my Kataang obsessiveness xD

I thought Crack ships were when the characters had no interaction. Well that's my definition of it.

I see a crackship as something that's way, way out there - not one of the major fanon ships. I mean, something like characters who have never interacted, or for whom age, gender, or species would be an obstacle in the context of the show. That's my definition of crackship, anyway. Y'know, like KatIroh or Tophumi. Or Haraang. Something like that. (Haraang! I love it! I think I've created a new crackship!)

Yeah, Zutara isn't a crackship because it actually has a chance of happening. A crackship is something that you know will never happen but it's funny to think about it happening. That's what a crackship is to me, anyway.

^I wouldn't say Zutara has a chance of happening. At least not on any romantic level. But it's no longer a crackship (in my eyes at least) because Katara and Zuko can stand sharing 5 minutes of screentime together and not kill each other... or want to kill each other.
'Crackships' have a pretty loose deffinition (and I can't find a deffiniton for it either, not on WIkipedia, F_W's Wiki or even Urban Dictionary...which does have Zutara and KatAang defined BTW) that's dependant on fandom. For example, slash ships like Jetko or ZukAang are crackships because ATLA is targeted towards young boys and homosexual relationships aren't likely to happen in such a show. However fandom doesn't see them as such since friendships were formed, or have potential of forming, within the show. It kind of goes in hand with how you define 'shipping' as most people ship only romantic relationships whereas others, including myself, also enjoy BFF ships and the like.
