I pulled the garbage can to the curb yesterday when I noticed a sign across the street: Slow, death in the family.
I am slow to compute things, but as the street filled up with cars....the neighbors across the street from me had oodles of visitors. Ok, you might think...things happen...sure, they do, unless you consider they had the same Christmas a Year ago. So 2 deaths in a year and a half...ouch...

That's gotta be tough. Two people, a mother and daughter, were recently killed near where I live. The mother had a second daughter, and the sad thing is, the murderer was the second daughter's boyfriend. So basically, it'd be like my older sister's boyfriend killing my mom and me. (Heaven forbid that ever happen) Hard to believe what the world's come to nowadays....

Someone up the road from my house, in an apartment type housing complex, not exactly an apartment complex, it was built more like a house than anything else, but you could fit several families in their own dwellings within the building... I digressed. Anywho, someone at a house up the road from my house killed someone else in that very building some five months or so ago. ... You'd think a guy would not feel safe with a murderer living two blocks away. Well, that guy's in prison now, so...

As sadistic as it might sound Gran Gran, there is comfort thinking that some poor bastard has whatever you're going through 100 times worse.
Nat that you wish anything worse than you're current state on anyone, but somehow one can not help but think "Well, I could have it worse" when you think on those terms.
It is sad that your neighbors have had to bury two loved ones so close in time though.

Thats horrible....
There was an accident at a bus stop the other day. A teenage boy was stabbed to death and hid in a dumpster... I can't even imagine how sad his parents were! That would totally stink... Then, the police found his body, and they don't even know who or what did it. THe scary part is, I take that bus route sometimes...

I know GUG, I used to work in an office across the street from a hospital with a Heli-pad...You knew when the life chopper swooped in, somebody was having a really bad day, no comparison to whatever you thought sucked that day. A small light at the end of the tunnel, as long as it's not the train, we take it!

My friend Zane got killed in a car crash a few months ago. This kind of thing is so horrible, especially when the victim is so young. D;

My story isn't as bad as some of the above mentioned but it falls along the lines of "it couldn't possibly get any worse" and then life goes out of it's way to prove me wrong. First 4 (that's right FOUR) exams (university finals) in ONE day. From 8am to 9pm (talk about burning out). After that I go out to a late dinner with my sisters before having to go to the airport to pick up my mom. They then blurt out that my mom has stage 3 cancer (she found out while getting checked out in the city) and they didn't tell me because of the exams. So okay I deal with it. Next day out shopping with my cousin and her boyfriend and on the way back *BOOM* rear-ended. The ironic part? We were stopped at a red light in front of a hospital. Go figure. Needless to say the paramedics where there very quickly. I get a concussion out of this and hurt the lower part of my back. THEN someone breaks into my car and steals the stuff in it. Now, did I mention this all took place TWO days before Christmas? Well now I did. Let me tell you that was one bleak Christmas break.

And I thought multiple deaths in one family across the street and a murderer just up the road were bad. You're wrong, my "friend". That's a classic example of things starting off bad, and rapidly spiraling out of control.
