I'm surprised they haven't made a soundtrack anyway. Alot of shows tend to make the soundtrack after a movie or when the show ends.

Yay, 1200 signatures! *throws confetti* Thanks to everyone. #1199 said: "I'm a 22-year-old college graduate, and Avatar is my favorite show on television. It is one of the few shows that truly appeals to all ages, and The Track Team's music is a huge part of its success." and the 1,206th person wrote: "The music on Avatar is well beyond the standard fare for a children's cartoon show, and it really deserves to be honoured with a full soundtrack. I look forward to Nickelodeon executives realising how much of a gold mine an Avatar OST could be."

My oh my. Been a while since I posted in here. Sorry for that. Glad to see others are keeping the advertising going.

curious really, how much longer should we wait until people should mail the petition to Nick?
I really want to print out the entire petition (along with all of the signatures) however the number increases all the time plus there are fake signatures.
I say everyone who really wants an Avatar Soundtrack should print out the petition in full and send it to Nick.
Then when Nick gets hundreds of letters with over 1200 signatures (atm) then there might be a good chance they will seriously consider publishing a soundtrack.
There is a good chance I will mail the petition before I go to college in mid August.
So yea, what do you think? Do you think it's a good idea?

When I reach the set goal of 1500 (minus the fake signs) I'll be requesting a formal copy from the site (paying for it out of my pocket) and then sending it along to Nick Studios. I'll also be putting up the excel speadsheet I've been keeping track of with all of the signatures on here and other Avatar sites. That way if you want, you can print out a copy for yourself and send it along.

No offense guys, but there is really no need for this. I already have 24 different tracks from Avatar (4 of which are the online comics) on my computer, and I can show you where I got it if you want it.
While a CD is nice, if all you want is the music, then you can have it right now.

While a CD is nice, if all you want is the music, then you can have it right now. wow, you have 24 tracks on your computer that's like every song from the show!!!!!!!!!! I am not going to say that I don't have more tracks than you have *cough* 27 *cough* but that doesn't mean I won't buy the soundtrack when (if it does) come out. I am willing to pay $20 for all of the wonderful tracks that The Track Team (no pun intended) has and will create for the show. Then I will rip them to my mp3 player and put the CD in my car where I will listen to it when I driving somewhere. I have that much respect for The Track Team and the Avatar development team. Before you call me a hypocrite I download my music legally, through Ruckus (like itunes but free for college students ) Ask yourself this: Do you have enough respect to pay less then $20 ($19.99 ) to support Avatar?

Oh, well, if you put it that way, then yeah, definitely. I can support them for sure. I just thought that, if this doesn't work, then you're not cut off from the music.
And, allow me to be a bit pragmatic; 1500 signatures is not nearly enough I'm afraid. By my estimation, you'll probably need an upwards of 10000 to make any sort of impact. This is why Internet petitions seldom work. Sorry.

Hm ~ but petitions supposedly represent about 10% of a given interested population. So 1500 = +/- 15,000. Sounds worth it, in my opinion. edit: Signature #1379 said, "I would buy a soundtrack of the show Avatar the day it came out." You know, so would I.

Eh, into each life, some double-posting must fall. Okay, so people tend to leave great comments on the petition, and I can't help but post some of my favorites. #1410 said: "As a musician, the first thing I listen to in any movie or television show is the music. I have repeatedly listened to the background music of Avatar and it is phenomenal! To have a soundtrack available would be a great step forward for Nickelodeon studios economically because more money would be coming in from the soundtrack alone! Not to mention fans everywhere would be thrilled to have a copy of the soundtrack in their hands." Word.

That letter was beautifully written! It's the same for me! I'm a musician and I ALWAYS listen to the music! Sometimes I'll watch parts of the episodes on DVD JUST to hear the music! Sometimes I wish that the voices were cut out, though, which is why a soundtrack would be perfect! I signed that petition twice 'cause I want the soundtrack so badly! I hope they'll eventually listen to us fans!

Online petitions never work. As you can tell, there are some people who are commenting very stupidly. You need an official petition and only ask for live signatures and actual "legal" letters.
