'Coppa, if I could dump a thousand *karmas* on you right now, I would. That pic is everything I hoped it would be and more! Iroh *does* love teh internetz! For Greg - did you have the opportunity to play any scenes one-on-one with Dante Basco? I'm imagining Iroh and Zuko have some emotional exchanges somewhere down the line. What do you do to prepare to get the right emotional tone of a scene, when it's just you in a booth?

This has nothing to do with ATLA, but Greg, who is your favorite and least favorite teacher you ever had and why?

This has nothing to do with ATLA, but Greg, who is your favorite and least favorite teacher you ever had and why? Remember: it doesn't need to be about A:TLA. Ha. I personally am quite fond of that question. XD

Greetings and salutations to all!
1. The only time I've ever been "one on one" with another actor in the booth is during an ADR session . For the initial recording session, as much of the cast as can be rounded up is usually present. I will say that Dante is an exceptionally gifted actor. I personally think he should play Zuko in the live action film.
2. How do I find the right emotional tone? Well...I study the script before I go in to record. Apart from that, I've never been much of a "method" actor. I subscribe to the British theory of acting which is more technical and considerably less emotional.
3. My favorite teacher ever was a drama professor in college named Mr. Cecil Pickett. He was a real...pardon the expression..."hard-Equus asinus". But he was absolutely brilliant and taught me much about the craft of acting. Least favorite teachers? Any PE teacher at Spring High School between the years 1974 - 1978. They didn't "take kindly to drama boys" if you know what I mean.
4. I'm supposed to get paid for this? Wow! Thanks for letting me know. I'm calling my agent THIS MORNING!
5. My favorite ship is the Queen Mary. It's supposedly haunted, you know. Seriously...I must ask a foolish question. What exactly is "shipping"?
6. My favorite character besides Iroh would probably have to be Tophl.

Addendum: I like Toph because she makes me laugh. She also has what Lou Grant (you younger fans probably don't get that reference) used to call "spunk."

5. My favorite ship is the Queen Mary. It's supposedly haunted, you know. Seriously...I must ask a foolish question. What exactly is "shipping"? Perfect for Halloween! XD Yeah, Shipping... It's not just a town in China anymore. *Ba-Dum-Bum-Ching!*It's a fan-term for describing the romances between characters, derived from the word "relationship" and short for "realtionshipping" Though I don't think "realtionshipping" formal word either... LoL Here's a Wiki article on it someone with way more time and devotion to the subject wrote: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shipping_%28fandom%29But in a nutshell, if you like the idea of Toph and Sokka hooking up romantically, then you would combine their two names into " Tokka" and then you would claim to be a " Tokka Shipper." As in, you "Ship" (or support) the relationship "Tokka" (Toph & Sokka) Oh! Also, to be a shipper it would seem you're required to be really grumpy to other people who don't like your favorite ship and start lots of silly fights on the forums over which ship is better that give us Mods & Admins severe headaches trying to moderate. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to run from the angry mass of shippers who will be hunting me down for that...

In other words...if I wanted to see Gilligan and Mary Ann get together...
I'd be a Gillig-Ann shipper?

Seeing how Iroh in Sokka's Master has been working out in prison will Iroh in season 3 be getting any tattoos, speaking in gangster/street slang, and or conforming to any other prison cliche?

Hem, hem. ;D Enough of the shippy chit-chat. ( Arwen/Legolas forever!) XD Let's get on with the real business... discussing ZUKO.... ^.^ You know that's why we're all here, right? I will say that Dante is an exceptionally gifted actor. I personally think he should play Zuko in the live action film. From your lips... as you yourself always say. So, spill... how is it to work with him? ;D

He's very talented. Very personable. And very young! Of course, he'll always be Rufio to me.
RUFIO RUFIO RUFIO RUFIO!
