O.o; I guess like that "Disney Haters" and "Sakura Haters" trends that were hear a while ago... O.o I hope you don't mean me! Did something happen while my back was turned? And I agree. Stop the pointless hating and bashing. It hurts people and there's no good that can come out of it.

@disney: She meant mean the movies like Little Mermaid 2 and stuff. Not you! XDDD
But I concur with Goten. Someone's always going to be oversensitive on the internet, however some take it too far. Best ban it all together.

Somehow I think that's taking things out of proportion, Grandi... If you all are so afraid of offending someone that you have to ban everything that can offend anyone, you might as well ban me and every other member that has ever offended anybody at anytime in their lives.

Is that directed at me or the general direction that this topic has taken?

If you all are so afraid of offending someone that you have to ban everything that can offend anyone, you might as well ban me and every other member that has ever offended anybody at anytime in their lives. Well, thats a wee bit extreme. If we banned every offender we'd be down about 50 members, and if we banned everything offensive, the OGB, TAG , RB and SpB wouldn't exist. And parts of the CB. But of course, since your royal narrowmindedness is suggesting it, maybe I should go ahead and do that. (Srsly)Please, stop using absolutes that aren't true. And a suggestion- if you're trying to get the staff of a huge ATLA forum to listen to you then you shouldn't have such a negative attitude.

I knew that I wasn't going to be able to change things, I am merely one young man with a somewhat different perception of the norm.
I'm sorry that my royal narrowmindedness suggested something. If I was so narrowminded, I would have agreed with the mods and admins in the first place.
Please, label me some more for standing up for what I believe in. When your mods and admins have begun telling us to 'suck it up' and that we hate things, when we are merely stating our opinions (Are these messages not hateful in their own way? Should you not censor them?).
I move to say that the leadership of these boards has, in its attempt to ban hatred, has spread hatred in this topic, in it's attempts to get me and all who disagree to shut up. I suspect that you don't even care about stopping the hatred any more and are more concerned with getting me and anyone who disagrees to stop posting here.

Sorry for getting fed up with people whining about something that we shouldn't even need to remind people about!
Seriously--we are NOT going to ban everything and everyone we find offensive--if we did, then it'd just be us mods and admins sitting around chatting. This announcement was given out because of an incident between two members of the forum and a few too many hate threats/sigs/icons that targeted specific characters/ships/tv shows/members. An icon that says "I Hate You" isn't going to get you banned; an icon that says "Suki lovers should die" won't get you banned either unless you mouth off at whatever staff member tells you to take it down.
Stop taking our words and blowing them out of proportion.

All right.
You saw my point, I see your's.
You put the cards on the table and said things straight, so I accept your statement as forum law.
I sure as heck got a kick out of arguing with you guys though, you got all riled up like someone burned your houses down. Take a chill pill guys, because I'm the least of your problems; I'm just a simple country boy who enjoys a good speaking argument.
Anyway, I don't and didn't mean any offence, and I hope that y'all have a great evening.

I'd like to give a big nod to the mods, because they have a huge burden on their shoulders. This forum supports over 3000 members, and it's not an easy job at all to keep it running smoothly. Some of the members are going to be mature and level-headed and able to take things in stride, and others are going to be childish and unable to take the smallest provocation without waterworks. And somehow, the mods have to deal with that and try to keep everyone as happy as possible.
It seems really simple to me, and I'm surprised there's such a huge thread about it. All the mods are asking us to do is use good ol' common sense and not post anything or use signatures that are going to be intentionally hateful toward another member or group of members. It's just about using common courtesty and respect. If you've got something to say, or an opinion to give, go ahead and give it, just be respectful of the other person and don't bash them.
The mods are doing their best to keep everyone getting along with each other as well as possible, given th vast range of age and maturity levels, and I think they're doing a good job of it. So, if some of the posters here like a good argument, perhaps their debate skills would best be put to use in the Critical Thinking thread where debates on very controversial and important topics are going on all the time, instead of arguing with the mods.

Take a chill pill guys, because I'm the least of your problems; I'm just a simple country boy who enjoys a good speaking argument. First of all, regardless of whether I agree with this descision by the rest of the staff or not this reply would be the same. If you have a problem with it, PM someone on the staff. Chances are it won't do anything, but neither will argueing in this thread. There is no reason to start an "arguement" in the announcement stating the rule. It's a fine line and there have been a couple arguements about hate sigs, if people had been mature enough to handle them then they would still be allowed. Like I've said before, they're funny, and most of the forum can handle them. But there are a small percentage of complete retards who get offended over the smallest thing. This is not a discussion. Thread locked.
