I agree with most everyone that Hama will escape fairly easily once the Gaang was out the picture. Aside from her bloodbending she's already shone the ability to pull water straight from the air not to mention if she sweats even a little bit. As long as she can move her hands she's gonna get out.
Personally, I'd like to she her escape and finally go back home to the South Pole.

I think she would have gone to south pole along time go, if she knew where it was...note in this world, you have to be a good map reader.
I'm one of a few who believe she won't leave the jail cell. not yet but I'm quessing whenever she going to kick the bucket.

^^ I don't think she's coming back either. I don't see how they can hold her, but I don't think it's anything the show's going to take the time to deal with so I'll just guess she's accepted her fate or something.

It's really sad that how hardships can make a person cruel and mad.

Well lightning is technically supposed to be the "secondary" element to air, but seeing how real science has no part in this show... Uh no... Air is all about wind power, how the hell would lightning be a secondary element to air? It's Airbending not Stormbending. This isn't Storm from the X-Men that controls various aspect of weather. Lightning is created by Firebenders through charge separation. And lightning is hot and Firebending is about heat and not just simple fire. Oh Lord. Now just think about what you sad for a moment.....did you? Alright good. All lightning consists of, in laymen terms, is ionized air particles. And in most sky to ground cases its just the negatively charged air in the sky mixing with the positively air on the ground. Where is that old Janet Jackson song when you need it, you know "Opposites Attract". In addition, there have been lightning strikes in broad daylight where I live, *cough* former lightning capital of the world *cough* So yeah its mostly attributed to storms but it happens any time you shock yourself on a door knob. I'm not trying to be condescending but what you just said was simply the most ignorant thing I've heard on these forums. Think of it as contructive criticism.

Except Airbending isn't about air particles, it's about wind current. And in case you haven't noticed, Firebender's don't create lightning like that. They do it through forced charge separation.

The whole process in Avatar is a metaphor. Remember when I said real science has no place in this show...T_T. The human body doesn't hold ice in its body thus the process is impossible for them. Combining positive energy to negative energy to create and electric charge is attributed to the whole Ying Yang concept that plays an important part in Avatar.
And to add on(in hopes to stop your "it has nothing to do with molecules argument") Blood bending it controlling the water molecules in ones body. To take water out of flowers means to take the oxygen that is distributed and mix it with the hydrogen atoms it uses to make chloroplast for food. It just doesn't have a secret reserved of water in its pure form.
*ah thats right....you do realized charge separation means to rip electrons and neutrons from a water molecule right....so in that sense you are contradicting yourself.
So what I suggest. Gain a little bit of knowledge on the topic before you shoot down people's theories. That is called unjustified arrogance.

No need for a metaphor. It just happens that forced charge separation goes well with the ying and yang explanation of Iroh. Waterbending is NOT Airbending. Waterbending is clearly molecular since they can turn water to ice and vapor instantaneously. Nothing about Airbending suggests the same. I do, that's why I shot down your wrong theory. And you're still wrong. Anyway I love how I provide how lightning that Firebenders create doesn't belong in the Airbending category but you totally gloss over it. LOL!

Wait, a sec...you shot down all my theories with out a single proof of evidence...man your good!
On a serious note....

That should do it.
If fire benders can take ions out of water then that means the are water and air benders.(where is a noob sign when you need one) Toph can go down to the particle level and find a way to control something that used to be natural minerals. Its safe to assume every bender has that potential.

Wait, a sec...you shot down all my theories with out a single proof of evidence...man your good! You're talking about NATURALLY occuring lightning. Is there anything natural about lightning bending? I don't think so. A Firebender does not wait for a negative charged air to collide with a positively charged air. Charge separation can be done by as simple as rubbing your feet in carpet and combing your hair. Those simple task can generate a small electrical charge. So for some mystical reason, Firebenders can separate the atoms around them to produce lightning. As simple is that. Looks like you're the one that needs a noob sign.

Thats right its done through separating electrons from a molecule using heat. Now by saying you can cause that process through normal activity(like combing your hair) is all well and good but you need something to take it from and something to give it to. Sure you can say they are using their heat to positively charge air particles around them but would you like to explain to me how the can combine/or control the cool air? That is nothing short of airbending. I can hold a preheated object in a freezer and it doesn't mean I can get the colder colder less dense air to combined with the positively charged warmer air of the warmer object without forcing them together with air control.

As you said, opposites attract, once the positive and the negative energies surrounding them are separated, they will seek each other and the two will come crashing together. Anyway, sorry if I sounded arrogant to you. I apologize.

Thats is true on that note then it would be a completely random process for a firebender then. We know Katara can cool air on he own will, and firebenders can superheat air at will. So I guess those two have some air controlling attributes to them. But if I remember correctly, didn't Aang have the same ability to cool air, (episodes he tried to rescue King Boomy). Its a stretch but I would like to think it can work both ways.
Anyway, its no big deal, apology accepted. In fact you are pretty bright, I should also apologize for demeaning your intellect.

Thats is true on that note then it would be a completely random process for a firebender then. Maybe that's why it's such a high-level and difficult technique for Firebenders. Also, there's symbolism here because Agni, the Hindu God of Fire has three forms, two of which are fire and lightning. Thanks to that poster that mentioned that in another thread. It seems like Waterbending directly controls the molecules of the water and nothing to do with temperature when they go from ice to water to vapor. So I think the ice breath is just for looks. As for Aang doing the ice breath to rescue King Bumi, I think he was just Waterbending.
