Well where to start?
How about I AM BEAT? XD
Though I'm sure you're wondering more along the lines of where the promised videos are. They are coming . I'm afraid that's all I can say at the moment.
I have the Thursday Card Hunt summary video completed & ready to go... But am having trouble with the Flash Video encoder. Sadly, at the moment I'm too sleep-deprived & under-nourished to figure it right now but trust me, I'll get 'em up soon!
What's left to see on video you ask, when the trailer has already been posted on Youtube? Well there were at least 10 other video cameras present at the panel so I knew they were all going to get that scoop up well before me. But what no one else has are the tons of footage I took of each day at the con.
What you'll be getting is a personal, minute-by-minute look at what went down each day as if you where there yourself. Trust me, there's a lot more fun that went down today than just the panel. In fact I think it was the before & after that really made this experience amazing!
Since you've all seen or heard what's in the trailer I'll skip that stuff and instead give you some idea of what it was like to just be there.
First, let me show you what I "cosplayed" at the con. Well, it really wasn't a total cosplay... It was more like an accessory-cosplay.
I made an Appa tail & Hat to put together what I liked to call, "Casual, Street Appa."
Koriayn & Avatar_Mom "tailing" me...
It wasn't much but I wanted to do something to fit in with what turned out to be the most spectacularly awesome crowd of Avatar fans I've ever had the pleasure to be around.
I mean it was cool to see the panel & hear from the cast and crew about Season Three.
It was great to pose for pictures with them too like I am here with Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of Appa & Momo:
These folks are the most friendly, fan-accessable people in the biz! They really love what they do and the fans.
But what was even an bigger blast was simply standing in line...
"Wait," you say... WHAT?
In the lines today I had the pleasure of getting to meet & talk with some of the greatest Avatar fans in the world. Famous Fanartists like Irrel, Isaia, Booter Freak, Kimchee... and it just goes on and on! To see all of them sketching right before my eyes was incredible!
Everyone was there! Well known folks from every fansite & forum. To get to meet and talk to them in person was the greatest thrill for me. So much so I can't really adequately put it in words.
And the Cosplay, oh people the COSPLAY!!!!
Simply the most incredible & talented costumers where out in force today! Everyone of them had somethging to show that simply blew my mind. Like this Aang cosplayer who carried around & gave out several different klinds of drink containers that featured his own "Cactus Juice" Labels:
Everyone seemed to be there to not only have a good time for themselves, but to also make it a great time others! Like the girl below who dressed as Jin & walked around with a tub of Fireflakes she made herself for everyone out of Cornflakes and various Cyan pepper seasonings! They were crazy hot- But we all had a blast chowing down anyway. XD
People's costumes were just spot on. As we saw another person join our line, cheers would erupt simply from the pleasure of seeing a new character represented!
Once we entered the ballroom, we didn't simply take our seats & sit like zombies, it was a full-on party! We all gathered up front by the panel line & took pictures, shared our stuff, and just had a great time being with each other.
With so many great cosplayers it was a hard task picking out who the finalists would be. The process went as follows: Members of the event staff walked around the ballroom as we all socialized & handed out about 12 or so finalist cards to members with the best costumes.
Near the end of the Panel, they invited those people with cards to come up on stage and the Avatar Staff voted amoungst themselves the winner.
The winner was the gal who dressed in this amazing Appa outfit. The head itself had small fans inside to help keep her cool.
I actually got to spend a little more time with one of the finalists, Koriayn (since the poor girl was stuck in line with the likes of me XD), who had made an incredible Toph outfit! She had every stance & pose down to a "T" & was so hard core she went barefoot everwhere. Well, everywhere except for when Con security made her wear shoes to go up the escalator...
I guess their lawsuit insurance doesn't cover toes getting sucked under moving stairwells. XD
What made her cosplay so cool (as well as many others) was the fact that not only was a picture-perfect Toph pattern but the materials were athentic too. Right down to the hard leather waist strap & gaunlets, to her real rabbit fur "poof-balls." When you see pictures they look great but seeing these costumes in person is astonishing.
-Hey Koraiyn, if you ever happen to lurk the fourm let me thank you again for hanging out with me for a while & sharing the Avatar geekiness! Let me also state the obivious & say once again that you're incredibly talented and cute too
Everyone gathered today were just great & really fun to be around. I can't wait to edit together my footage & show stuff like the photo session they took after the panel & the autograph signing...
But for now I'm totally wiped. Lugging pounds & pounds camera equipment on my shoulders for three days straight has given my body inspiration to pass out on me and I gotta get some sleep.
To everyone on DH who was there & said hi, you know what I mean. To everyone out there who wasn't able to come, I wish you could have been there but I hope the video footage that's on it's way will help give you a little taste of the good times that were had.
Now if you'll excuse meeeeeeZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz....

A moment of unexpected irony with the logo of my Water bottle label.
Holy crud! Look at the bags under my eyes... At least you know I'm not lying when I say I'm exhasted.
